Complex.com’s latest compendium contains twenty-two entries for number thirty-three, but only the worst of luck kept it from being some other, much larger multiple of eleven. The sheer fact that Grant Hill is still active in the NBA in 2011 seems shocking when you consider how many problems the 39-year old forward has endured to his ankles. Much like Penny Hardaway, Hill filled the void during Michael Jordan’s first retirement and seemed poised for a Hall of Fame career until the injury bug relegated him to role player status. And though Hill’s footwear legacy isn’t as rich as the Nike Air Penny series and its offspring, he did help resurrect Fila in the mid ’90s with a couple memorable signatures. He’s back to the same brand he wore as a Duke Blue Devil now in models like the Nike Hyperize, and you can see a fairly complete history of his sneaker stylings on the full list at Complex.

Grant Hill deserves respect. This guy is 40+ and still a starter? U can't hate on that. He overcame multiple injuries.. and recovered well enough to continue years later... DUDE is a BEAST. Not as athletic as he used to be but who is at that age. His best shoes in my opinion where the Hill2 w/ the patent leather strip.. ILL!!

Ben Wallace. You said Ben Wallace. "Greatest Athlete" in the NBA I would have to say someone like Ray Allen or Billups or Grant HIll. C'mon son! These cats are in their late 30s and still ballin better than most in their 20s. Especially Ray who everybody knows he works hard to stay in shape. Ben Wallace though, really? Dwight Howard is a better athlete than Ben Wallace.

Bottom line Jordan was a big time player in big games you couldn't find lebron in the two finals he has been in. The closet thing that we have ever seen to Jordan is Kobe, which still is not up to that level.
