Jason Petrie recently confirmed that there would be no ‘South Beach’ colorway of the Nike LeBron 9, but the ‘Cannon’, much like last year’s ‘South Beach’ LeBron 8, is LeBron’s display of affection and gratitude to his fans in Miami. Releasing exclusively in Miami, a month ahead of the nationwide limited release, is the Nike LeBron 9 in the Cannon colorway; it features a military-themed colorway, which signifies the 2010-11 Miami Heat pre-season training at the military base in Fort Walton Beach in Florida. They will be available at select retailers in the area such as the Foot Locker House of Hoops in Miami at midnight, so check out these new detailed photos of this year’s ‘Pre-Heat’ LeBron 9 and stick with Sneaker News for more updates regarding the wide release. Won’t be around to cop a pair? Snag one right now on eBay.

I agree with JOP, sneakernews' writers need to step their game up. Not only is their grammar poor, but they also need to get their facts straight. I wasted a trip to house of hoops Saturday afternoon to find out I was not allowed to camp until 4am Sunday morning. This means that the shoe is not a midnight release. As a result, I got pulled over on my way to house of hoops. I could have possibly avoided this ticket if the info had been correct.

Damn, that says a lot about these because those are ugly as hell too.

Information came straight from Nike PR.
We have nothing to do with your poor driving.

Simple error made in haste. Made the edit.

The ticket is another problem
My issue with you is the poor info and I am holding responsible for that. You SN writers need to worry about getting your facts straight

Not a fan of this sneaker, but at least it's not the same ol, same ol / something i haven't seen previously (in terms of the CW). Gotta give Nike some props for trying something different.
Warming to the silhouette and will probably surrender my cash when they nail a decent CW
