Yesterday morning, Sneaker News unveiled the Nike x Doernbecher Freestyle VIII, which featured six Nike models colorized by six young patients at the Doernbecher Charity Hospital. The mission statement of Nike’s long-standing partnership with the hospital is to raise funds for the charity by releasing the limited edition set of sneakers, and with the public anointing of the Air Jordan installment of each collection, Isaiah Scott’s Air Jordan IV design was the the most anticipated of the bunch. Here we have a detailed look at Scott’s design; inspired by the comic-book superhero Superman, Isaiah chose the famous chest logo for the tongue and included a Mars-like silhouette of himself on the upper ankle. The release date for the Air Jordan IV Doernbecher as well as the entire Doernbecher Freestyle VIII collection is currently set at November 5th, 2011, with a retail price of $175. Check out the additional shots below and stay tuned to Sneaker News for more detailed images of the entire Nike x Doernbecher Freestyle VIII!
Air Jordan IV
These are alright but i just dont know what these will turn out to be a month after it comes out really is my worry.
I give the kids an A for creativity and effort, but it does look like something out of a flea market. I'm just glad JB didn't interfere with kids design. I'm pretty sure they wouldn't have come up with something like this to sell us, because no one would buy. And the only reason ppl will buy these is because they r doernbechers. Ahh.... Marketing
Hey am not hating but as a kid it cool and all but would i wear them, not even onces but it is for good cause. Maybe i cop these but i would started saving for the others 4 in 2012.
"Grow on you..." What!? If they were ugly then, they are ugly now. Don't get caught up in the hype children. LOL.
Good luck to the people to the getting them the minute it turns 12:00 am on that day, last year i got fucked in getting the 3's because of my fat obesity fingers on typing my info.
Besides not having the plastic wing, the shoe looks pretty well made quality wise. Love the icy sole and the designs in them. Shoe is kinda cool but I need to save for my charity of Concord 11s
THESE #AIRJORDANRETRO4DB ARE ON POINT...IM NOT A RESELLER BUT I WILL BE IN LINE WAITING ALL NITE LONG FOR MY DBS..THEY LOOK COOL 2 ME...BUT WHO DA FUNK AM I??
Came at a wrong time. I was hoping for later December after the holidays. For those wondering where they'll drop niketowns and Nike.com
The only thing that's satisfying about this shoes is the clear ice sole. The Air Max 95's from this collection just outweigh these greatly.
for those of you wondering where you can cop these? at ross about 4 months after the come out for $49.99
the fact that these don't have plastic wings makes me kind of worry that the rest of the upcoming IVs won't.... .
I like them and would wrat them. But where can I get them once they are available ? No Nikeshops here in Belgium. And $175 ? It's for à good cause, right !?
People have to remember these are for charity.......for the kids...Would you pay 10Gs for the nike Mag?? Its all about charity.
I don't give a fuck about the release date.... WORST DORENBECHER EVER! They should of had the kid that designed the 95 air max do the 4s instead.
i love 4's and do not own any at this time but i like crazy lookin shit so might cop. but that tag is too much 175 damn!
these are strictly a childs shoe. these should be a General release in GS sizes. these would be dope for a kid tho. grown men shouldnt rocking these just because there jordans. IMO
I feel the majority of people who are going to buy these are just in it to re-sell. I wouldn't rock this sneaker, so I'm not going to cop. Goodluck though to those who actually want a pair to wear.
