Of all the schools Jordan Brand could choose to outfit with its latest round of player exclusives . . . did Phil Knight and Tinker Hatfield really sign off on this?!  2011’s onslaught of Oregon Ducks SMUs started around the time of their BCS Championship Game tilt against Auburn back in January when the UO footballers showed up to media day rocking a blacked-out Air Jordan IX PE.  And while a pair with orange and black accents seems suitable with Halloween right around the corner, 117 years of ‘The Civil War’ makes this Oregon State edition the unlikeliest of AJ9s.  There’s an interesting symmetry at play here given OSU’s two recent College World Series crowns and the Nine’s status as the ‘lost’ Air Jordan because of MJ’s Birmingham Baron days.  And though it’s unlikely the Beavers will become the Lou Gehrig to Oregon’s Wally Pipp, this is a dope colorup all the same and has us curious about what could be brewing up in the Pacific Northwest.  Click through to see more, let us know how these compare to the Oregon Air Jordan IXs and stick with Sneaker News for more NCAA basketball sneakers.  via MN

Without the orange this could be like the Motorsports. Either way sooo dope

I like the white upper with the all-black sole. And the little orange hits give it that pop.

Don't see a big deal with them getting a PE. Despite Oregon State being the Ducks' rival, they are also selected to try out top Nike gear including becoming a Pro Combat school last year. As youknowit said, Nike is going to rebrand their school as well. They've already done it with the basketball program so it makes sense they'd do it with the football team as well.

Here's something that may shock you then.... Tinker is working on rebranding Oregon State... and also redesigning the football jerseys....

These aren't new, I go to OSU and saw a dude rocking these last year. I'm surprised it took this long to hit the web.

Man it's just a pic that the owner took. Not like these got a full-on photoshoot and they are holding back pictures.

Bro, your best bet was those were Bootleg and those weren't exactly the same as these. Maybe some colors though.

Nah they're the exact same I can promise you that.
