Can a Nike SB Dunk really be the same without its trademark fat tongue? Sneakerheads answered with a resounding ‘No!’, and just like the main character from Family Guy, it was fan feedback that got the fat back. Now, a thickly padded tongue and ankle collar isn’t as strongly associated with the above pictured model, but it is explicitly referenced in the shoe’s model name, so what happens when the Air Jordan 1 Phat is no longer quite so thick? We’ll get to find out when this newly heightened, partially deconstructed AJ1 Phat hits retailers next summer, the first three colorways a nice spread of exactly what you’ll want as the warm weather cycles back around. Check out the entire trio in additional images after the jump and let us know if you like your Air Jordan 1 Phats at the midtop level with cushy padding or in this new higher yet sleeker style. via CK
