Nike Zoom Kobe VII ‘Inline’

Yesterday brought our best look yet at the upcoming seventh signature Nike shoe for Kobe Bryant, and now we finally get a thorough gallery of images to sink our teeth into. Here we have a detailed preview of the Nike Zoom Kobe VII, featuring an aesthetic right in line with the last few Kobe releases, but featuring some very interesting new tweaks. Aside from the raised horizontal ribbing lines on the synthetic upper and the debut of visible Zoom Air in the heel, the standout feature of the Kobe VII is without a doubt, the removable ankle bootie. The boot features some Pr0-Combat-esque padding with an adjustable velcro strap around the ankle and appears to wrap around the bottom of the insoles to ensure it stays firmly in place while on foot. The white/purple/black or ‘Inline’ color scheme fits right into the Kobe legacy and will likely be the first general release drop, but like with the previous Kobe models, it’s safe to say we’ll be seeing these in plenty more colorways to come. oxymoron. haha even with the 4-6 low cuts, he still had ankle tape. with this pair, at least we dont have to buy those expensive ankle support from nike.

I like these, but i think the Kobe 6s were better, i think that they should of stayed with the snake scales because that really shows Kobe as the Black Mamba

Even if the ankle strap is removable, it doesn't change the fact that this shoes are horrendous. It's nothing but a poor version of Kobe 5.
what is Kobe trying to prove?? 1. that he is incapable of creating a decent looking basketball shoe anymore 2. He can win a championship in a crappy looking "all performance shoe" or 3. His design manager is a retard from Nike, and keeps letting him come out with horrible looking shoes!! idk ppl, but all i know is I HATE THIS SHOE!! MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT!!
Looking at the photos of the shoe from the top, and the photo of the ankle strap wrapping around the midfoot, the shoe has no inbuilt tongue. Which means you have no choice but to wear the strap.
At least the lining is removable.. wish there was a pic of it without the lining.. i bet it would look 10x better without the lining
I think I am going to get this just for sweeping my washroom. :) It also comes with a pair of gloves attached with KB logo so it's like a doo doo bonus!

I don't get why Kobe decided to go this path, he always said he wanted less ankle restriction but this shoe shows that he does want it. Hopefully the Bootie will be removable, else these might be a strictly court shoe
these inlines and lebron 9 "scarface" is the reason why you dont show the flywire especially in a darker color then the upper it looks awful!, the shoe will look a thousand times better with a color that hides the flywire and when its all set and done these kb7's and kd4's will be the better looking sigs shoes
Well kd is better player than kb so kd's shoes been better since day 1.

HUGE KOBE FAN! However these shoes are butt ugly. At least in this colorway. OR maybe its the flywire... I think the best looking part of this shoe is the back. Something's just off... I'm interested in seeing more colorways. I still believe the KBIV is the best looking Kobe sig.
Hope that the ankle straps can be removed.... But when you remove them,the shoes really look like a kobe dream season shoe...SMH...Looks wise,these kobe's look horrible but these Might be a performance monster on the court though... Lenron 9's lookin' waaaaaay much better than the kobe 7's right now.

I'm a little shocked when I clicked on page 2 and saw that weird connective strap on the removable sockliner. Are these like the Jordan 2011 with changeable sockliners? Them things look like what chicks wear on a night out; Ankle strap and a thin sole, but with heels. Really not sure what to make of this. May learn to appreciate them over time, but damn, this was shocking.

Hope the internal bootie thing fits better than the ones on the Melo a few years back. Those things were almost impossible to get on/off.
I guess the ankle strap would be great, if you actually play basketball. But if you're wearing them for casual purposes, then the strap has got to go off, pronto!

I read somewhere that kobe is going to have two shoes this year. one will cost 150 and the other 250. also the strap will be removable...still, im not feelin the carnivore look, but maybe in less dream seasonesque colors it would be better
