Nike LeBron 9 ‘Kentucky’ – Release Reminder
October 14th, 2011 by John K. | 12 comments

The Nike LeBron 9 ‘Kentucky’ is set to debut tomorrow, but let’s take a look back at another Nike LeBron Kentucky PE – the Nike Air Max LeBron VII. The Kentucky Wildcats debuted that sick patent-leather PE on February 1st, 2010, when LeBron James himself sat courtside during a game. That PE, which could also be compared to the Nike Air Penny sneaker, featured a blue patent leather mudguard with Black/White upper detailing. Now compare the two – the Air Max LeBron VII and LeBron 9 – and tell us which of the two looks more ‘Penny Hardaway’; the LeBron 9, which bears some resemblance to the Nike Air 1/2 Cent, or the Air Max leBron VII, which could be another ‘Heroes Pack’ variation? Well, you’re better off picking the LeBron 9′s side, because these will actually release in stores – tomorrow to be exact. Expect them at select Nike Basketball retailersĀ or pick up a pair now on eBay.

this was one of the most limited colorways by far. Amazing how these things are still out there! Beautiful colorway!
Still a full size run of these everywhere. Looks like the only color-ways of these that will sell are the hype ones. Nike dropped the ball on these.
Just copped these from nikestore
These are sweeeeet. Loving the hue of the blue.
Sorry to hype... But I'm coppin. If I can, fake store workers acting bad bout if dey gottem or not n da a. I eff wit dese doe.
HEAT.
I can't stand the price increases throughout the main signature lines. Jordans have been insanely expensive and uninspired, Lebron 9s are pretty sick looking, especially these, but $170? half way 180 air max? Don't let me get started with Kobe VII. $180? Who does Nike think he is? Jordan? Plus it's super ugly with that removeble strap.
This whole concept of the shoe is not fire. The only real HEAT colorway I seen of these shoes are the cannons and those shits aren't all that.
i agree wit ya on dat 1... i like da Ohio St cw myself
PENNY
I'm really feeling the LeBron 9's, but these really don't deserve to be any more than $160 like the 8's were. $160 is still steep too, I'd rather buy myself a Retro.
rather spend on some good looking quality kicks versus some kicks that will fall apart in a couple of months of light use
