Nike Zoom Kobe VII Supreme ‘Inline’

Is the ankle lock-down sleeve in the Zoom Kobe VII Supreme removable? Yes. Is the Kobe VII wearable without it? Probably not. Here we have an on-foot shot of the Nike Zoom Kobe VII ‘Inline’ with the ankle piece removed, and you’ll see that the upper shell is devoid of any dedicated tongue. It seems as if the ankle-piece must be worn with the Kobe VII Supreme (not to worry, a regular version of the Zoom Kobe VII will be available in February), but did you know that the ankle-piece would make a great pair of sandals or even in-house slippers? The built-in ankle-wrap will likely give Kobe Bryant added security on his ankles (his aging ankles, might we add), but keep in mind that the non-Supreme version of the Kobe VII is much like the previous two Zoom Kobe installments in that it features the low-cut soccer-shoe mold. I like the concept of the inner bootie. this was not actually the first time nike has used it. I have some JB melos that have a inner bootie but also has the actual tongue too. Im just a bit disappointed that the shoe design couldnt be a little more cooler because it looks very close to the last few installments of the Kobe zooms

That removable strap means NO SHIT to me! You gotta put on a LEGITIMATE ANKLE SUPPORT BRACE to prevent injuries especially when engaged in such a sport like basketball. 7's is a TOTAL FAIL!!! I am completely satisfied with my 6 Supremes and Lightbulbs!!!
There are gonna be at least 2 (possibly 3) sole inserts. High ankle strapped "Play Strong" version. A Regular low "Play Fast" version. And a third that I'm not sure about yet...Animals should be the theme, A cheetah for the fast, possibly a shark for the strong, and a mamba for the third that I suspect will be the supreme/elite insert (maybe a lunarlon insert similar to the koston ones, who knows)
Looks like I'll be waiting for February to get the regular ones.

These are wack to me look like Nike and Dr. Scholls colabed to make these. They are fine for those who like plain shoes but no real thrill and not for 180.00. Maybe 115.00 and thats pushing it.maybe next year Kobe or a V2 or something.

thOSE ARE hideous. I am not a fan of these. That's not even enough ankle support on those. Those are ankle warmers. Are these inspired by the Jordan XX? No way. I really liked his past 3 signature sneakers, but I can't like these. Even when he wore them at the Nike Campus I didn't like it. The design had the right ideas, but these just look boring. For a signature series these look very bland.
