Nike Mag Customs

Missed out on the Nike Mags, or can’t get yourself to wear ‘em around? You can fashion your own pair of customs like FlawlessV of NT did, by using a pair of Radii high-tops to create a ‘wearable’ pair of Nike Mags to beat around. These won’t light up, they won’t self-lace, and you definitely won’t fool anyone with these replicas, but as long as you have some fabric paint, a pair of scissors, and a few spare hours, you’ve got yourself a pair of custom Mags! We can understand that it’s tough to wear around a pair of sneakers that cost a few thousand dollars, so let us know if you’d consider rocking these Nike Mag 2011 customs.
Hahaha hey everyone! I created these as part of a sociological experiment on branding, and I'm getting some very interesting results from the forums. It may sound a bit subversive but the title " poor mans Nike mags" should've tipped you guys off a bit. If you want to see some actual mcfly inspired kicks go check out el's work. Btw the guy that said the Nike mag symbol on the back looked like a kindergardener painted it, your onto something ;).

At first glance I thought it was a cake! But, then I realized that it was a shoe painted on top of another shoe to make it look like that shoe. In college, we called this a stage prop!!! KYS!
It looks like a fun project but you would get kicked in the balls if you wore them. It's just not feasable to wear something to represent something else.. you just can't get the effect so it's like wearing fakes. All in all, nice project just don't wear em.. Please don't wear em

The end result is pretty terrible. But, at least he tried. However though, the inspiration (Air Mags) was already ugly to begin with, let alone THESE.

People have been doing this for years; and getting much better reseults. (Which is why it made no sense for Nike and Tinker to act like they had to redesign the shoe from scratch. Especially since the shoe had no power laces). This is not news.

I think they're cool. As long as you don't really care about what everybody would have to say about them (because for whatever reason, "sneaker heads" always feel the need to down somebody that isn't rocking what they're rocking), these would be cool to rock.
If you don't care what everyone says, you wouldn't be trying to make custom Mags.
