Wednesday, November 5th is the scheduled release date for the Nike x Doernbecher Freestyle VIII, and while each of these special collaborations is visually impressive in its own right, it’s clear that one of them is getting a bunch of extra attention relative to the others. In fact, each year’s Doernbecher Childrens Hospital collaboration is highlighted by a Jumpman, in this case the Air Jordan IV DB designed by Isaiah Scott. They’re instantly right up there with the craziest Fours we’ve seen thanks to laser etched arrows, a Superman tongue tag and Isaiah’s own silhouette in lieu of a Mars Blackmon insignia. The Air Jordan IV is by far my favorite Air Jordan of all time but lets be real here, this is kinda getting out of hand. Just by reading the comments people have made has showed me that people will like anything that Jordan brand puts out even if the dumbest,weakest, ugliest, most outlandish piece of shit they can come up with. I understand a child designed these, so does it mean if i was a kid designing an Air Jordan and i happen to want a huge picture of a pile of shit on the tongue will they allow me to do that? Let alone sell it? There has to be some limits here…..Seriously.
