Carmelo Anthony, Jordan Brand’s longest-tenured signature athlete, has been the subject of thorough analysis since the moment he was brought into the international spotlight, and for nine years, we’ve been blessed with his on-court wizardry that has led to a career worthy of the Jordan Brand standard. But what goes on inside the mind of a superstar? Jordan Brand presents Flight Lab 159, an interactive and visual experience that delves into the inner workings of Carmelo Anthony; located at 159 Bleecker St. in NYC, Flight Lab 159 houses an installment that depicts Melo’s in-game psyche – think Basketball meets The Cell.
At the exterior is a chaotic arrangement of exploding hardwood panels and Melo M8 sneakers, representing the Jordan Brand’s “Explosive” silo and inspired by Carmelo’s extraordinary ability to create havoc on the court. At the core of this disorder is a peaceful cylinder where Carmelo hones in on his inner calm, creating a combination of explosiveness and finesse that extends into the Jordan Melo M8 and expresses itself through Melo’s unparalleled game.
