Reebok Phase 3 Runner

These days the sneakers you probably most associate with Reebok are off the wall designs like the Pumps or the Zig lineup. Just as critical to their catalog though are the simple runners that put them on the map, like the Reebok Phase 3 Runner. The Phase 3 is experiencing a bit of a revival this year, with slick colorways like the one shown above, which mixes a glowing green over blue mesh paneling, with a steely grey suede to finish things off. Get the full look of this colorway and grab them now from Crooked Tongues.

Gourmet Quadici L Grey White

It wouldn’t be too terribly hard to argue that Gourmet is the brand that best exemplifies today’s lifestyle sneaker market.  Initially heavily influenced by the Air Jordan Legacy, Gourmet has moved toward reinterpreting classic designs and they are really quite good at it.  The Gourmet Quadici shows how this brand has been ahead of the game with the duckboot look, their Air Max-style visible cushion a persistent reminder that while they indeed copied Nike, Inc. to get started, this brand and all the rest are reliant upon the growing volume of classic designs whose aesthetics and utility stand the test of time.  You can’t go wrong with grey and white, and this pair is available right now at End.

New Balance ML574 Holiday 2011

New Balance just collaborated with Leftfoot on a ‘Past, Present, Future’ pack in which the first was represented by the H574, but a ruggedized take on the 574 is very clearly situated in the present.  Not only is the H574 thriving, but there’s a newfangled take in the HS77 bringing a barefoot feel to the table, and of course you can’t forget about the shoe that started it all.  The New Balance ML574 is technically still a running shoe, and while their suede bodies might not do all that well in harsher conditions, there’s no denying this trio looks the part of an outdoorsman’s footwear thanks to bold colorways, gridded nylon underlays and corded, boot-style laces.  Will you go the red route or lean toward the Mowabb ACG-leaning edition?  More images of those plus a navy and gold pair after the jump should help your decision, and be sure to check back with Sneaker News for updates on their availability.  via mita sneakers

adidas Y 3 Sneak Spring/Summer 2012

Say what you want about the line, but you can’t argue that they aren’t pushing the conventions when it comes to sneaker construction. Never afraid to think outside of the box, or anywhere even remotely close to the box, has been cranking out hits for over a decade now. We’ve got a preview here of whats in store for 2012, showing off an interesting pair that takes the adidas Superstar silhouette and wraps it up in thick elastic cords, held in place by sturdy metal d-rings. Get the full look at the upcoming Spring/Summer 2012 collection from adidas Y-3 after the jump and let us know if you approve. via HS

adidas Originals Kopenhagen Outdoors Pack

It seems like everyone has an outdoorsy sneaker in the works for the Fall/Winter 2012 season, as we’ve seen a ton of retro models pick up design cues from the world of outerwear. Adidas has been there before with this adidas Originals ZX 8000, but they’re back at it with the coming in a two part pack. The adidas Originals Kopenhagen last popped up in the Consortium City Series, and it’s back in two new colorways that boast premium materials like the waxed canvas upper and the rounded boot-like laces that whip around the metal eyelets. Check out the full pics of both pairs after the jump and be on the lookout for them exclusively at Size? in the UK in November.

Nike LeBron 9 Scarface Arriving At Retailers

Now that we’ve cleared up the whole ‘Scarface’ fiasco, here’s another look at the Nike LeBron 9 ‘Home’ colorway, originally dubbed the ‘Scarface’ LeBron 9; like the Freegums x Nike LeBron 9, the ‘Home’ features a combination of White/Black/Red, akin to those Scarface movie posters that are currently hanging on the walls of 86% of male college dorm-rooms. What makes the ‘Scarface’ stick out from the rest is the contrasting red Flywire at the forefoot; all of the other LeBron 9 colorways we’ve seen so far use a muted secondary color that blends in with the breathable shell upper, but the sport red Flywire cables provides a nice touch to give these an extra tech-y appeal. These won’t officially hit stores until November 4th, but Millenium Shoes just got their shipment (and are showing them off a bit early), so check out these new images below and let us know what you think of the colorway.

Nike Toki Mid Full Grain Leather Size? Exclusives

With Nike Sportswear’s constantly expanding range of casually-oriented sneakers pushing their way into all corners of the sneakerhead culture, a few models are bound to be overshadowed and perhaps even forgotten.  It hasn’t been too terribly long since the Nike Toki released in a new colorway, but it would indeed take something special from this vulc-soled chukka midtop sneaker to get it back atop the Swoosh lifestyle rankings.  These two new Size?-exclusive Toki Mids might be just what the doctor ordered, then, their 500-pair limited run for white and black full grain leather pairs among the nicest we’ve seen since the model launched.  Look more closely at both pairs after the jump and hit up Size? to get yours before it’s too late.

Nike Sportswear Holiday 2011 Vac Tech Pack New Releases

‘VacuumTechnology’.  That curious translation found at the top of the latest release announcement from Tokyo’s Nike Harajuku might have you picturing one of those ball-powered Dyson cleaners.  Nike Sportswear probably realized a name like that would end up with some interesting Google results, so luckily, the naming minds over in Beaverton came up with something a little snappier to match this season’s most prominent fabrication method.  The NSW VacTech collection rolls on with a new slate of drops including Nike Air Force 1 Highs and Lows, an Air Max 90 to match the AF1 High and three Dunk Highs, two of which also matches AF1s.  They range from all-suede to all-glossy patent leather, and you can see each of these six pairs in additional images after the jump.  Let us know which model wins this round and stick with Sneaker News for word on the US release dates.

Reebok Zig Encore vs. Zig Slash Comparison

Now that the Reebok Zig Encore has been released into the wild the ultimate test of its merits as a basketball shoe will lie in Jon Wall’s performance throughout the NBA season. What’s that you say? Lockout? Oh…right, well these should show up on feet regardless as Reebok’s innovative Zig technology has proven to make for a highly flexible basketball sneaker. Here we’ve got some comparison shots between the newly released and the it’s predecessor the Reebok Zig Slash, which display the overall lower approach and sturdier set up on bottom. Get the full look after the jump and let us know which ones you’d rather hoop in. via Solve Movement

Oshmans x mita sneakers x New Balance H710

New Balance has seriously ramped up their trail shoe production in recent years, hits like the MT580 allowing for the expansion of the 574-inspired line plus a variety of other new designs.  But even if it’s benefiting from the trail-580′s success, you could pretty easily argue that the New Balance H710 is even more of an NB OG.  Inspired by the classic Rainier and Allagash silhouettes, the H710 is back with a collaborative design from Oshman’s Sport Goods and mita sneakers that adds a small patch of Mexican blanket material to an otherwise black suede design.  It comes together to create a warm look for the cold months, and you can see a huge run of detailed images after the jump.  Let us know what you think about this Japanese exclusive and stick with Sneaker News for updates on the latest New Balance trail boots.

Nike Court Force White Anthracite Wolf Grey

Nike Sportswear has expanded its casually-oriented lifestyle offerings alongside the ever-growing array of retro runs, leaving a couple of former staples lacking the same kind of attention they got, say, five years ago.  Much like the Vandal, the Nike Court Force High has been relegated to occasional playing time in recent years, but this new white and grey getup proves there’s still plenty of life left in this hightop classic.  There’s never been a Court Force quite like this before but they feel familiar with colorblocking that accentuates the ’80s-era lines on this immediate predecessor to the recently revived Sky Force ’88.  These are another JD Sports exclusive Court Force colorway; would you be interested in a wider variety if they were readily available stateside?

Nike WMNS Air Royalty Mid Quickstrike | Available

Something like the little brother of the Nike Sportswear favorite Air Royal, the Nike Air Royalty Mid has seen its fair share of variations, but nothing to match the ever-versatile Royal. But it’s clearly not the silhouette imposing these limits, as we see here with this new pack of Air Royalty Mids for women done in a unique mix of ultra-vivid suedes and classic workboot construction. Imperial Blue and Wine colorways are as eye-catching as anything else out there this season and would translate well to any of the other models with ‘workboot’ iterations, or perhaps the new ACG Zoom Meriweather boots. If that happens, remember where you saw them first, and you may as well take it a step further and go ahead and pick these up from select NSW retailers like Caliroots.
