Nike SB Zoom Koston 1 Dark Obsidian

Outside of the Zoom Kobe VI mashup edition that came out around the time of its debut this summer, the Nike SB Zoom Koston 1 very well might be Swoosh skateboarding’s single most simple silhouette. Eric Koston might have some competition from Stefan Janoski’s equally classically styled signatures, but there’s no denying that the relatively plain good looks of the Koston 1 bely its superior technical abilities. This new Dark Obsidian colorway has royal blue and grey accents along with a white sole to ensure you can rock them easily with nearly anything in your clothing arsenal, and they just popped up on shelves at shops like Premier.

adidas Originals AO Toss Hi Black White Blue

When we first saw the lowtop version this February, the adidas Originals AO Toss looked more like a cross between the Vans Sk8-Low and a Converse Chuck Taylor Ox.  Then somehow, a model with that same name and cap-toed sole came along with an entirely different eyestay and a cleaner silhouette, something on the order of a Nike Blazer Mid AB if the medial zippers were replaced by an elastic gusset.  And luckily that’s where the name appears to have stuck, as you can see from this new black, white and soft blue edition that suggests a whole range of simple yet satisfying colorways could be in order.  They bear some of the triangular accenting that typified Three Stripes’ ‘Blue’ collection a while back but show how far the brand has come in such a short time with regard to their casual offerings, and they’re available now from Kix-Files.

Nike Air Max+ 2011 Black Total Orange Dark Grey

Nike has done the Halloween colorways more explicitly in the past, namely with the ‘Dia De Los Muertos’ Nike SB Dunk Low, but this season they’ve kept it simple with the clean combo of black/orange as a nod to October 31st. We saw the Nike Air Max 95 wearing this get up a few weeks back, and now the much more contemporary Nike Air Max+ 2011 dons the Halloween colors with a black upper that reps the ‘total orange’ on the swoosh, lining, and full-length Max Air unit. Follow us after the jump for more shots of this timely release from Nike Sportswear and grab them now from Nikestore.

Nike Trainer 1.3 Max Cool Grey Black Dark Grey Varsity Red

The various iterations of the Nike Trainer 1.3 let your display your allegiance to a range of eras in Nike’s history. Recently we’ve seen the Free version more and more, with the other option being the Nike Trainer 1.3 Max that of course reps the full length Max-Air unit on the bottom. This latest colorway utilizes a mixture of metallic colors for the upper, throwing in a deep varsity red on the lining and the outsole for just a tiny bit of color. Hit the jump for additional views of this trainer and then head over to Nikestore to get a pair for yourself.

Nike ACG Zoom Meriwether Available

If Meriwether Lewis would have never made the journey out west with William Clark, we wouldn’t have the great state of Oregon. And without Oregon there would be no Nike, and without Nike-well we’ll stop there because you get the point, and frankly nobody wants to imagine a world like that. It makes sense then that Nike would give a shout out to the man who made that trek with a tough pair of boots like these. The Nike ACG Zoom Meriwether gets a smooth suede upper on top of the thick chunky soles, pairing elegance with ruggedness. The two colorways shown give a little nod to Meriwether’s final destination with their brilliant shades of green and orange, coming off looking like a rivalry pack for Oregon’s two state schools. Get the full look at this new Nike ACG offering after the jump and grab your pair at Premier.

Sneaker News Weekly Rewind: 10/22 10/28

Ready for another week of big Sneaker News? We started it off with a look at an Air Jordan XIV Retro for 2012, then followed it with a peek at the Nike Zoom KD IV ‘Nerf’, inspired by the classic (by classic, we mean the 90′s) toys. Follow that with exclusive confirmation of the Nike Air Speed Turf Max, and you already have three huge stories by Monday evening. But wait, there’s more! The ‘What The Foam’ came to light – a Foamposite using a multi-colored tie-dye-esque detail. It certainly caused quite a commotion in our comments. By Monday evening, there was already enough breaking news to digest, but Sneaker News never stops delivering all the necessary kicks info in a timely manner.

Moving on, Nike Basketball didn’t cease with its new developments, as we got a detailed look at the Nike Zoom Kobe VII and Kobe VII Supreme, the KD IV China, and a look at four upcoming colorways of the Nike LeBron 9. If Nike Sportswear/Retro is more to your liking, did you see the Air Yeezy 2 in the Watch The Throne Tour trailer? Or how about that ‘Sprite’ colorway of the Air Max Griffey Fury? Nike SB’s biggest headline involved a look at the November Quickstrike of the Tauntaun-inspired SB Dunk High, and adidas wowed the crowd with the Superstar 80s paying tribute to Run DMC. Celebrity Feet was yet again a sizzling corner, as we saw Theophilus London and Soulja Boy rock the Nike Mag 2011s. Don’t stop now, because there’s plenty of other big news from the last seven days, so check out this latest installment of Sneaker News Weekly Rewind and get caught up!

Nike SB Dunk High Tauntaun Detailed Images

Over the years, Nike SB has taken their ‘inspirations’ a bit further, moving beyond the visual aspect of colorways and making the proper applications to materials. The upcoming Nike SB Dunk High ‘Tauntaun’, inspired by the creature made famous by the Star Wars saga, utilizes a mix of high-texture materials, like a weather suede and a twill/canvas-like material for the toe-box and heel sectionals as well as the swoosh. The colorway itself is a crisp combination of grey tones that match the Tauntaun’s furry exterior, but don’t expect any superfluous detailing. We’ve got a detailed look at this upcoming November 2011 Quickstrike release so check out the gallery below and let us know what you think. via Dunkbar.

Nike Trainer 1.3 Mid Shield LSU + Stanford | Release Reminder

Missed out on the Oregon Ducks and Michigan State colorways of the Nike Trainer 1.3 Mid Shield ‘Rivalry Pack’? That’s because these sick kicks are not only a bit limited, but the detailing on these Trainers are sick! Dropping tomorrow is the next two of this great set – the Court Purple/Filament Gold LSU colorway and University Red/Cool Grey Stanford joints. Just like the two that preceded these, expect these to be gone quick, so be steady and fast when you order these because these are hitting Nikestore on midnight. Which of the two do you like better? Let us know your pick after the jump.

Nike Air Force 1 Low Strick Release Reminder

“John Strickland was street basketball for the last twenty years in New York City.”

Don’t forget to Finish Your Breakfast before you go out tomorrow morning to cop these super-clean Nike Air Force 1 Lows. Created as a form of tribute to John Strickland, the NYC streetball legend who passed away at the early age of 38, the Nike Air Force 1 Low ‘Strick’ captures the essence of NYC urban culture using the classic white-on-white as the base for the detail-heavy pair of Forces. With the NYC Swoosh logo stamped on the insole of the shoe, the AF1 Low ‘Strick’ is already off to a great start; add in the custom tongue labels and the molded leather imprints on the heel, and you’ve got a pair of kicks that can be celebrated by fans of Strick and followers of the sneaker game. These will hit select NSW retailers like Moe’s as well as 21 Mercer, Niketown NY, and House of Hoops on 34th and Harlem locations tomorrow, so take a look at these new detailed shots and don’t miss out on one of the best Air Force 1 releases of the year.
