Nike Air Force 1 Bespoke Dom Perignon & Dutch Master By Slovadon

Of the hundreds of Air Force 1 Bespokes we’ve seen, how many were directly inspired by consumer products? Joshua Slovin recently received not one, but two Bespoke creations he designed, one inspired by the high-end champagne Dom Perignon, and the other by Dutch Masters, which are easily attainable at any corner bodega. For the Dom Perignon design, Joshua imitated the luxurious bottle design, with custom heeltabs that print ‘Vintage 1984′, a likely call-out to Slovin’s birth year. The Dutch Master has a bit more of a rustic colorway, with an oat and brown upper mimicking the Dutch Masters box. Which of the two do you like better? Do you relate more to Dom Perignon, or to Dutch Masters? Check out the gallery below and let us know what you think.

Nike Air Max 97 Hyperfuse

As it was detailed in the Nike Hyperfuse ‘Tales From The Kitchen’ video, Shane Kohatsu’s discovery of Nike Hyperfuse was transferred over to Nike Sportswear, as a curious Ben Shaffer implemented this three-layer super-lightweight material onto classic Air Max models that were typically constructed of heavier leather and suede materials. Both Nike Innovation Kitchen chefs have been praised for their magnificent creations, and in 2012, two years after Hyperfuse was introduced via the Nike Zoom Hyperfuse, Nike Sportswear will continue forth with the Fuse experimentation with the super-sleek Nike Air Max 97. Here we have a look at four upcoming colorways of the Nike Air Max 97 Hyperfuse; leading the pack is the OG ‘Silver Bullet’ colorway, followed by three tonal renditions of Volt, Blue, and Black. More shots await you below, so take a good look and stay in touch with Sneaker News for more Nike 2012 releases!

Nike WMNS Lunarmax+ 2

It’s been quite a while since we’ve remarked on the Air Max Lunar’s confusing name, which means that it must be time for a new Lunarmax+ release.  The former was a Max Air and LunarLon-cushioned mashup of mostly early/mid-’90s running aesthetics, whereas the latter’s sequel, the Nike Lunarmax+ 2 features the same mix of cushioning but with a serious performance lean.  The second Lunarmax for women shows off the model’s distinct Flywire-reinforced layered midfoot support in two dark-based colorways with vibrant accent colors, and you can see more of the grye/pink and black/aqua pairs in images following the jump.  There’s certainly a bit of LunarGlide 3 in here; do you like the direction Nike Running’s Lunar series is going?  Let us know what you think and stick with Sneaker News for updates on their release.  via SF

Jordan Prime 5 Black Infrared

The Jordan Prime 5 returns one year after its introduction in three new colorways; utilizing a tonal Black upper, each of the three members of the 11/5 releases feature a high-contrast secondary color like Varsity Royal, Sonic Yellow, or Infrared, shown here. The entire tongue and inner lining is painted with Infrared, with matching contrast stitching on the midsole and Jumpman emblem on the heel. Again, these are expected to release on November 5th, but some retailers like MrRSports have received these a bit earlier. Check out the detailed angles below and let us know if you’d cop these!

Air Jordan 4 White Cement GS New Images

Confirmed for kids sizes. Dropping February 18th, 2012. Will feature a nubuck-wrapped ‘Wing’. What else do you need to know? The anxiety surrounding the release of the Air Jordan IV White/Cement is mounting, because for some, the release is nearly thirteen years in the making. Hardcore collectors who were around at the turn of the century are still holding on tight to their ’99 Retros, but that kung-fu grip can be loosened just a bit once they release. The Kids version, as we see here again, comes with a few noticeable differences from the men’s sizes, like the lack of the ‘peak’ at the forefoot of the midsole. If you need another look, check ‘em out below, and let us know if you still have your ’99 Retros! via sneakerhotline.

mastermind JAPAN x Converse Jack Purcell Mid

It’s been nearly three years since applied a stud to the top eyelet and skull to the tongue of a black Chuck Taylor All Star, so this newest collaboration is long overdue.  The Mastermind x Converse Jack Purcell Mid employs a similar motif, but the result is quite different owing to a few subtle changes.  We’ll start at the tongue, where the skull logo has been displaced in favor of a subtler pair with crossbones and a script embroidery.  The ankle collar still sees its top eyelet replaced by a stud, but instead of a zipper going down to the sole from the heel, you get it on the lateral side panels so that the skull can rest on the heel cup.  All these changes plus a ‘MASTERMIND’ handstyle on the toecap means these’ll be a must-have when they release on December 1st at select Converse stores.  via HB//boundlezz

Celebrity Feet: Theophilus London Nike Mag 2011

The Mags are here! The Mags are here! Theophilus London is the most recent notch of the belt of Celebrity Feet sightings, as the Brooklyn native recently rocked his lit-up pair during his show in New York City. has gained a reputation for owning one of the most unique fashion styles in the hip-hop industry, but his sneakerheadism has been well documented as well (he was chosen to represent Brooklyn for last year’s Nike Sportswear 1LOVE Borough Pack). We’ve got some extra shots of Theophilus London’s Nike Mags below so take a look and let us know what you think.

Jordan Melo M8 Cool Grey White Orange Flash

Carmelo Anthony has access to Air Jordans like nobody else this side of Michael himself and has enjoyed quite a few player exclusives over the years to compliment his Jordan Brand signature series. Melo seems to be partial to the Air Jordan XII, but despite their emergence as the past few years’ biggest releases, he doesn’t seem all that enamored with their immediate successors. In fact, this new Jordan Melo M8 in Cool Grey with white trim is about as close as Carmelo gets to the AJXI, but you can’t deny the obvious influence from last year’s biggest holiday drop when you see the Melo M8′s patent leather toe. Click through to see those and more details and pick up a pair today at a JB stockist like NikeStore, Mr. R Sports or get yours right now on eBay.

Nike Air Trainer SC II Metallic Dark Grey

It’s pretty tough to top the recent run of releases for the above-pictured cross-trainer from Nike Sportswear. The Nike Air Trainer SC II has been on a tear of late, the OG colorways released along with a Total Orange-accented edition that could have just as easily been a 1990 original. The reason these three were met with such a warm reception is that they evoke images of a particular time in history, but the design is so perfect that you’re left with a timeless product. Perhaps that’s even more true of this new tonal grey release, a colorway that’s sufficiently versatile to anchor your everyday rotation, and one that could very easily be given a shot of extra life via fifty-four inches of vibrant swapped laces. Look more closely at the Metallic Dark Grey, Anthracite and black Air Trainer SC IIs after the jump and then grab yours from a NSW distributor like Premier.

Nike LeBron 9 Low Summer 2012

For the LeBron 8, were the Lows better than the Mids? A strong case could be made for that bold statement, with sick colorways like the Miami Nights, Sprite, Solar Red, Wolf Grey, and Blackouts all experiencing high levels of popularity and clearing out of stores rather quickly. We’ve only seen the tip of the LeBron 9 iceberg, but this advanced look at the Nike LeBron 9 Low might help you decide which LeBron 9 variety is the better of the two. Sneaker News first gave you a look at the back in September, and the first glaring difference between the Mid and Low was that the Low utilized full-length 360 Max Air instead of the Max/Zoom combination that first appeared on the LeBron 8 P.S. and was carried over to the LeBron 9. Here we have a look at four upcoming colorways of the LeBron 9 Low; all four feature high-energy combinations, like Obsidian/Cyber and Dark Grey/Mint Candy, or the bold red and blue colorways that have an All-Star yin-yang theme to them (although an All-Star Game is likely to be nixed for this season). Check out all four colorways below and expect these to drop at the start of the Summer 2012 season (April)! via TSG.

Amare Stoudemire Works At Foot Locker During NBA Lockout

“I was an All-Star six times at my previous job.”

Times are tough for NBA players. NBA Lockout means a cease in cash flow, so Amare Stoudemire is putting his extra free time to good use by applying for a job at Foot Locker, which coincidentally, is just half a block away from his former office. Even Amare, a six-time NBA All-Star, is not exempt from the rigorous interview process by the hiring manager, but apparently Stoudemire’s got all the right tools because he was presented with his employee uniform and name-tag on the spot! Would Amare make a good employee? Somebody needs to reach to sneakers on the top shelf, right? Check out the video below and for your former sneaker-store employees, let us know if you have any crazy stories!

Nike Flight Maestro Plus Varsity Red

In the days before the internet sneaker scene and PEs sold like replica jerseys, the phrase ‘Red Maestro’ brought to mind images of an All-Star showoff. There are more and crazier basketball sneaker colorways these days than ever before and Scottie Pippen’s appearance at the 1994 NBA All-Star Game wearing a bullish Air Maestro Flight can be seen as one of the early movements to add a little something extra to the game. These aren’t a true retro, but it certainly does look like the changes on the Nike Flight Maestro Plus were conducted to improve performance on this nearly two decade-old silo. A bold Varsity Red upper gets the point across nicely, though we can’t help but grieve the loss of what very well could be another season filled with flashbulb moments. Push the lockout to the back of your mind, and while you’re there, relive one of the highlights of Michael Jordan’s first retirement with a pair of Fight Maestro Plusses from a Nike Sportswear retailer like Premier.
