Sneaker News has already covered most of the Air Jordan Retro releases for the first half of 2012. We’ve given you release information on the Air Jordan IV White/Cement and Military IV, a few Air Jordan Xs, and a group of Air Jordan XIIs, but in that mix is the original ‘Home’ colorway of the Air Jordan XIV. Considering Michael never played in these at the United Center (or anywhere else for that matter), the ‘Home’ designation isn’t exactly the most accurate, but given the general white-based colorway and the backlash against the questionable ‘Candy Cane’ nickname that’s been floating around the forums, ‘Home’ never sounded so good. We’ve got a new set of detailed images below, so take a look and let us know what you think. via RMK.

They were dubbed the "candy cane" bcuz they were after the hoilday season but also around valentines day. The name coo to me cuz they have that candy cane feel and I love how they brighten up and red now versus the earlier pucs they showed.
Good to wear in the summer with a pair of Jordan shorts on. Can't wear these in Illinois winters!!!

My new years resolution will be to cut back on Jordans, so i'll get the last shot 14s instead of these (for nostalgic reasons). I'm getting out of the shoe game and am selling most of my collection. Buying Js just doesn't do it for me any more. I respect MJ and how he revolutionized the the game of basketball, but when you lose that excitement to get that next Jordan coming out, then you know its time to call it quits.
I feel the same way. But I'll probably stop after the Columbia 11s.

Co sign the candy cane name is 1 of the worst! I don't know when they started calling these the "Candy Canes". You're better off calling them the "Home" or "Chicago XIV's" work better but I used to always call these the White/red XIVs. Not every retro and not every Jordan needs a damn nickname.
