You didn’t think Asics was just going to sit idly by and watch as all the other brands made money this winter with warm-looking boot-inspired sneakers, did you? A few boot-styled Gel Lyte IIIs should have cleared that up long ago, but just in case there’s any confusion and/or you need another go-to look for the cold months, here’s a look at the new Onitsuka Tiger Sunotore. A model born in the early ’70s before the 1972 Winter Olympics in Sapporo, Japan, whose name literally means ‘snow training’, the Sunotoro sports a woolen ankle collar and tongue, heavy duty nylon on the underlay and speckled laces to match the D-ring eyelets, and they’re available now at select retailers including Sole Haven. via EUKicks
