The adidas Originals Nizza Hi already looked like it was somewhere between the Converse Chuck Taylor All Star and Nike Blazer, but this latest release from Jeremy Scott’s Originals by Originals capsule pushes it further to the former than perhaps ever before. This new Jeremy Scott x adidas Originals Nizza applies J.Scott’s typically ostentatious style via hand-sewn baby sequens all across the uppers, but it’s the circular ankle patch that clinches the Chuck comparisons on this pair. Add in the toecap whose ridges are reminiscent of the All Star Bosey Boot and maybe Jeremy should give daps to fellow designer John Varvatos for borrowing the One Star’s steez. Check these out in more images after the jump and look for them soon at select Three Stripes retailers. via SM

Chuck Taylor (one star) came out in the 1910s, the Nizza came out in the 70s. this model takes the resemblance a bit too close to a lawsuit for me.

mister historian, you missed the fact that the design development and advancement in the early 20's up to the mid 70's were effing slow..
think blazers and rubber cap less chucks… PF Flyers and Chucks for that matter..
