There’s a lot of copying back and forth going on from really all the major sneaker brands these days, everything from hybrid designs to the generally ‘cleaned up’ state of street fashion influencing a variety of casual looks, and while it’s obvious in many occasions that Nike, Inc. headquarters serves as the epicenter for these trends, here’s a case where The Brand with the Three Stripes beat the Swoosh to the punch. It was about seven years before the reorganization of Nike Sport Culture into the Sportswear division that’s made so many waves since 2008, that adidas Originals opened its first stores in Berlin and Tokyo, this black leather model taking the place of the luxurious grey ZX 8000s we saw at the German store’s 10th b-day party. The ‘Made for’ Tokyo pack is scheduled to release in December and you’d have to expect a special event at the Harajuku location, so click through to see more of what looks like an adidas Originals Superstar variant.
