Sneaker Pimps NYC 2011 – Event Recap

The Sneaker Pimps tour just touched down in the sneakerhead capital of the world; pretty obvious this was destined to be a solid event, innit? The latest iteration of this roaming kicks culture circus rocked Irving Plaza and several of the city’s luminary sneakerheads were on hand. Street artist and collabo-OG Stash was in the building putting some of his handiwork up on a pristine wall, while rappers like Stalley, Kendrick Lamar and Jim Jones handled the mic and kept the room moving. I was there, it was alright. there was some heat there but nothing crazy. I was expection to see some red foams or bulls 10's. i guess i wanted to see something i couldn't get my hands on(yet)
Reselling is also part of the game, stupid. Shoes go up in price so why not sell them, dumbass? It's only natural that these things resell for more money, try getting Yeezys for $250, ignorant fuck.
Seems like this was more about the music than the shoes. The shoe "game" is DEAD. Its nothing like it was back in 07 and even then old heads were saying its dead now I see wat they meant. I wish I could go back to copping kicks and thats it
I know I'm gonna get some hate but whatever. There seems to be so many lame people in these pics. like that one dude with the comes des garçon tee and like the other with an LV scarf just to show off, like seriously? or that one kid on the bottom of the first page. oh well.. On a side note, Kendrick Lamar is sick.

Resellers is one of the reason shoe companies are raising their prices, if you willing to pay doble for a shoe, why not skip the middle man and give them directly to them.
