It made quite a splash at the Sneaker Con NYC event last year and subsequently showed up on a bunch of 2010′s best-of lists, but we’ve not seen all that much from adidas Originals’ Fortitude midtop since roughly its one year anniversary. Perhaps that was because Three Stripes was working on moving its production over to this new variation that sees this basketball and trail inspired shoe into a true boot. The adidas Originals Fort Boot debuts in two colorways that are each simpler than anything we saw from the Fortitude, grey and black suedes riding chunky, hazard-ready soles similar to those appearing on the new Elmwood. This takes more inspiration from the classic 6″ Timberland boot than anything from the Three Stripes archives, but their prominent branding makes for as strong an impression as up-and-coming rapper Kendrick Lamar endorsing their swag. Click through for images of both pairs and a video of Kendrick rocking his.
