We’ve seen it a million times by now, but a sneaker as historic, relevant, and empirically gorgeous to the bone is always worth a second look. In fact, this new set of images of the upcoming Air Jordan IV White/Tech Grey actually pictures the shoe in various backdrops – on tile, in a hallway, on…train tracks. The best depiction of the February 2012 release was when it was juxtaposed with the 1999 Retro release, which revealed quite a number of changes made to the ’12 version, like the darker shade of grey (technically Tech Grey, not Cement Grey); despite the differences from the ’99 release, the White/Cement AJ4 will be a hot release and a popular pick for many ‘Best Of’ lists by the end of the 2012 year. These are ugly AF in comparison to the OG colorway. What really killed these shoes are the dark midsoles. They should of kept it like the OG (light gray midsole) throughout instead of darkening it. Don't get me wrong, but they're a huge disappointment. I'd play ball in these, but not the OG's. I'd rock those on special occasions to break necks at the mall or at the hood near you. IMO
1999 white cement IV's are NOT OG's... You mean to say you rock a pair from 1989 to the mall just break necks? What are you 14 years old?

Yeah these are a must cop but I'm going to name em aka da Buggin out joints from the movie "Do The Right Thing".I'm gonna end it like this if u like it copp it if u don't then don't just cuz they not the 99's. Cuz if they were they wouldn't be wearing them any way like my black joints cuz the sole would crumble on u anyway cuz of how old they are.

The thing about it that many people arent even taking into account is that even the OG's and '99 retro dont say "Cement grey" on the box label. The color way is only listed as White/Black on both the OG and '99 retro box (FACT). The buyers are the ones that came up with the White Cement nickname in the first place just like majority of the other nicknames (Spacejams, flu game, last shot, etc). The shade of grey on the '12 is in the middle between the OG and '99 retro which isnt necessarily a bad thing. Hell, look at the box labels for retro 3's released this year compared to ones from 8-10 years ago. It isnt the exact same color listed word for word. As far as Im concerned these are White Cements and I will cop since I havent owned a pair in almost a year since my '99s cracked. If you dont like the shoe then thats fine but if so, just shut up and cop.
No, you're wrong, the black/red's 99 box says CEMENT GREY and is the same shade as the white/black "cements if you compare them, and thats why people use that name. This is before stupid collabo nick names and people went by the color code. my 99s also collapsed. Crumbled like a dry cookie.
The cement is way to dark for me. It makes the shoes look like wearable toys. I think Im just going to buy them, sell to some hype via ebay, and cop an og pair
i copped mine early in gs size and mine doesnt look as dark as these pictures must be the light or maybe in mens is darker.

i like them, but that grey is so dark.
i would still prefer cement instead of tech grey but these will do the og and the 99 retro are not worth $300+ considering the fact that all you can do is stare at them smh so i will def be picking these up to add to the collection i hope they make the box like the og box like they with the 3s this year
I hope they are still working out the kinks on these because that grey makes them look weak. I'm hoping this isn't the production model. Come JB just a different shade of .000005 cent grey colored plastic

I have to say this, whoever wrote this article was an ass. How do you call these white cement on the toolbar then in the paragraph call them white tech grey. I really hate this when people have no knowledge of anything. First when will they learn that cement grey is not only one tone, its light, dark and in between. For instance the air jordan 4 fusion is white cement but has the tech grey color go look it up and see the pics. The dub zero white cement but once again it has that dark colorway grey. The OG air jordan 4 white cement has a darker grey but for some reason everybody is comparing these to the 99 retros as if those are tbe OG's. The 2012's are closer to the OG in color without a doubt but leather wise yeah the 99's may win that but other then that there the same shoe. So please stop comparing this shoe to a retro compare it to an OG like it should be. The 2012's are still fire and I'm getting 2 pair the hell with the 99's they almost 13 years old and will split apart sometime soon so I'm grateful for the new ones.

Nobody is calling the 99's the OGs. Nobody. But OG White/Cement IVs aren't easily attainable. The OG Air Jordan IV does not have a darker grey as you alluded to. In fact, the speckling pops off so well because the Cement Grey used in the original is a light shade. It's techinically 'Tech Grey' now, but everyone will call it the White/Cements.
Listen man go look it up, the OG is darker then the 99's but alittle light then the 2012's. Yes the OG has speckles more close together and in general than both retros. And if its tech grey why is it that the other jordans I mention and there are a lot others using cement grey but its dark like tech grey please explain. And to top it off whoever said the 99's were cement grey the box clearly states them as white/black. They never mention cement grey on the 99's bro check it out but I guess you and whoever else can entitled them to be cement grey right. So really what color is the grey on the 99's can't be cement grey
They should've did the same kind of photoshoot for the GS sizes so that I would be more eager to buy them. Men sizes look beautiful in the 6th pic 1st page.

The leather is very shitty but what can you do, one think they could've done is keep the cement print the same wow Nike never fails to disappoint me, don't fix what isn't broken these shits look nothing like the 99's look fake IMO
