After a quick break from the bright looks with the metallic dark grey release, the Nike Air Griffey Max II is back in familiar form with some nice hits of tour yellow as the color of choice this time around. Purists might snub the sneakers without a tie to a specific team Griffey played for, but that just means more for the rest of us. This top-notch retro release has been one of the most well received this year, with fans excited to finally pick up the missing pieces from their Griffey collections. Follow us after the jump for a full look at let us know if this black and yellow pair will find its way into your rotation. You can find them available now at select Nike retailers like CitySole or get your pair now on eBay.

Miami’s professional basketball team hasn’t been united since early in the 2011 NBA Finals, so Supra’s looking to fill in the gap with a little Heat of their own this winter. Supra’s Hot Pack adds the kind of black and yellow trim to a trio of red uppers you might expect from a Nike LeBron PE, but all three of these are skate silhouettes with major casual appeal. The Supra Vaider Mid, Cuttler and Vaider Low are each cast in an aggressive shade of canvas and has us wondering how long the crown brand can wait before we see something similar, but with green hits for Christmas. Check out the Hot Pack’s ‘Big Three’ after the jump and then look for them at Supra dealers worldwide.

When a new colorway of an Air Max 95 rolls around, it always garners a ton of attention. We all know what the shoe looks like, and it’s been around for over a quarter-century, but that’s just the nature of ‘the icon’ – it demands attention. Air Max 95s definitely fall in the category of ‘sneaker icon’, so even when a rather simple color combination surfaces, like this new Black/Crystal Blue, we find ourselves intrigued, as if we don’t know what to expect – like turning to the next page of a thrilling suspense novel. These are definitely worth the attention (it’s got that Air Penny effect), and JDSports has them available now (exclusive to them), so take a look below and let us know what you think.

We’ve seen plenty of Paul Rodriguez’ Nike SB signatures done in the legendary black, white and mint combination known as ‘Tiffany’, so why would it be any different with his latest? The P-Rod series makes its move to LunarLon cushioning with the Nike SB P-Rod 5 LR, this pair in black suede with white Swooshes and soles adding just a hint of soft blue on the branding and outsole so the overall effect is a bit more subtle than on models like the original Diamond Supply Co. Dunk Low Pro SB. Click through so you can see more angles including the minty outsole and stick with Sneaker News for this 2012 Nike SB release. via N-SB

A quick look back over the silhouette’s quarter-century of game-changing makes it seem more obvious, but it’s still impressive to consider the wide range of possibilities afforded by a VacTech constructed version of the Nike Dunk High. We’ve seen the Dunk High VT skinny and ‘standard’ in both suede and wool, in traditional cupsoles and a surprise AC edition that offered a different take on the vacuum-sealed look, in traditional smooth leathers and now this metallic pair whose detailed shading gives the illusion that they could be a special edition Monopoly piece for the 21st century. Luckily, they’re one heckuvalot more comfortable, and available right now at Nike Sportswear stockists including SNS.

“9.8 ounces is nothing. 9.8 ounces is everything.”
When you’ve got the lightest basketball shoe in the world, it’s okay to brag. adidas Basketball has designed the adidas adiZero Crazy Light so that it’s so slight you can barely feel them yet their distinctive Three Striped ankle collar ensures you can recognize them from afar. It’s these kinds of edges you’ll see emphasized in the new ‘The Difference’ video from Foot Locker and adidas, a clip starring Dwight Howard and young ballers Eric Gordon and Jrue Holiday plus the Rick James via MC Hammer-sampling music of Big Sean. Click through to watch the short and let us know if your team rocks the Crazy Light. Look out for the ‘Blackout’ edition of the adiZero Crazy Light hitting Foot Locker retailers this Friday.

Who-da thunk Foamposite would become a genre on its own? Introduced in the mid-90′s by Nike APE as a lightweight and less labor-intensive material, the Nike Air Foamposite today has become one of the most collectible sneaker items around, and 2012 will only fuel that fire with a plethora of upcoming releases like the ‘Metallic Red’ and ‘Electrolime’ Foamposite One, shown here. The Electrolimes were first dubbed the ‘Golden State’, a name that seems rather fitting based on this nice view of the Yellow/Navy One-Cent logo on the heel (Michigan would’ve been a nice fit as well). Spring 2012 is the target season for the release of these bad boys, but if you can’t wait around and want to break necks before the New Year, cop this size 9 pair from lilshk54321 on eBay.

Before we knew that their Nike SB ’94 was coming back in two new colorways for the holiday season, it looked like the collaboration between Supreme and Swoosh skateboarding for 2011 would have come on the lines of Eric Koston’s first SB sig. The Nike SB Eric Koston 1 was depicted around the turn of the year with the red box logo superimposed atop a blurred out colorway, but that model turned out to be the Sport Red and Tourmaline GR that released without a bit of the hype typically associated with New York’s skate kings. Here’s another new Koston 1 in red that won’t see Supreme attached once it hits retail, though this one certainly bears a resemblance to ‘Preme’s logo with its crisp colorblocking. Check out this summer 2012 drop in more detail after the jump and stick with Sneaker News for updates on these and all Nike SB release dates. via N-SB

Rajon Rondo hosted a special charity basketball exhibition game at Harvard University this past Saturday, bringing together a number of Boston Celtics players that were members of the 2008 Championship team. Rondo was joined by teammates Paul Pierce, Marquis Daniels, and Jeff Green as well as former Celtics Nate Robinson, Kendrick Perkins, and Leon Powe. During the Charity Game, a few notable sneakers were spotted on court, like Nate Robinson’s Black/Cement III, Rajon Rondo’s Hyperfuse 2011, Powe’s Jordan 6-17-23, and one of the more infrequent Feet sightings – the Air Jordan VII ‘Flint’ (a 2006 release). Check out the extra shots below and stay tuned to Sneaker News for more NBA Lockout Feet action! via thecrimson.

We already know that British sneaker shop Size? is a big fan of the Nike Blazer’s classic lines, evidenced by their use of three different pairs for part of the store’s 10th anniversary celebration last year. Those three pairs were actually Mids but they reached into the past to get the old school fat bellied Swoosh common to the Blazer High and its VNTG releases, and now they’ve come back with another twist on this OG baller turned street staple. With these new Vintage Blazer Premium releases, we get the first leather pairs since 2009 and only the second set done in anything but suede since the series was launched in February of that year. Check them out up close after the jump then head over to Size? to grab a pair before they’re gone.

Sneaker News showed you an upcoming Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski colorway for 2012 cast in the classic ‘Takeshi’ combo of black and gold, but if you need your skate -slash- boat shoe fix before this year’s up, maybe you’d consider a slight variation? This new Stefan Janoski SB pictured above goes for a mix of navy blue suede and golden brown accents, this pair’s Swoosh-into-ankle collar blocking offering a new pattern we wouldn’t mind seeing replicated across a variety of color combinations. Check them out in greater detail after the jump, then grab yours from a Nike SB retailer like Premier.
