Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski Takashi

More new SBs, more classic colorways.  Nike’s skateboarding division has been quite busy reprising its greatest hits in 2011, and as we’ve seen with previewed pairs like the ‘Tiffany J-Pack’ Dunk Low SB, you can expect this trend to extend through the ‘end of time’.  2012 might see the Mayans proven right, but we know with considerably more certainty that this new Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski will be compared to the 2003 ‘Takashi’ Dunk Low SB thanks to the combination of black leather and suede along with gold accents and a white sole.  Is SB taking it too far with all these ‘revisited’ releases, or will you welcome more of a return to the brand’s earliest established core competencies?  Let us know with a comment when you click through to see more pictures and stick with Sneaker News for updates on these and all 2012 Nike SB release dates.  via N-SB

adidas Originals Fort + Elmwood Boots

It made quite a splash at the Sneaker Con NYC event last year and subsequently showed up on a bunch of 2010′s best-of lists, but we’ve not seen all that much from adidas Originals’ Fortitude midtop since roughly its one year anniversary.  Perhaps that was because Three Stripes was working on moving its production over to this new variation that sees this basketball and trail inspired shoe into a true boot.  The adidas Originals Fort Boot debuts in two colorways that are each simpler than anything we saw from the Fortitude, grey and black suedes riding chunky, hazard-ready soles similar to those appearing on the new Elmwood.  This takes more inspiration from the classic 6″ Timberland boot than anything from the Three Stripes archives, but their prominent branding makes for as strong an impression as up-and-coming rapper Kendrick Lamar endorsing their swag.  Click through for images of both pairs and a video of Kendrick rocking his.

Nike Court Force High Vintage Unreleased Sample

eBay has long been the place that sneakerheads turn to in order to fill the missing gaps in their collection. The vintage offerings are especially deep, and you’ve got a pretty decent chance at picking up that pair that you couldn’t convince your parents to cop back in the day. This one is a little different, a sample version of the Nike Court Force High from 1992 that never actually hit the shelves. The alterations from the original silhouette are tangible, with a more layered construction towards the back, a heavier perforated treatment on the midsection, and an overall taller silhouette showing up on this sample. The 1992 date attached is a bit curious, perhaps suggesting a scrapped reinterpretation of the . Whatever the story is behind them, they have definitely stood the test of time and you can see in the detailed pics after the jump. Even better, they are yours for the taking courtesy of aldy.everyday on eBay.

Sneaker News Weekly Rewind: 11/12 11/18

We’re inching closer and closer to the end of 2011, but we’ve got one road-bump before we reach New Year’s Eve – Black Friday! It’s definitely one of the biggest shopping days of the year for sneakerheads, and Sneaker News, as usual, as been keeping you in tune with all that’s been going on in the world of sneakers. In the Air Jordan corner, we gave you a look at a nice ’99 vs. ’12 comparison of Retro IVs, and over in LeBron’s corner, the ‘Watch The Throne’ PE really set things off. Our exclusive interview with Jason Petrie also shed some light on LeBron’s ninth signature shoe as well. The Zoom KD IV saw an official unveiling this week, with a discussion between KD and designer Leo Chang owning the spotlight. More basketball-related news came in the NCAA Feet recaps, which included Ohio State showing off their LeBron 9 PEs.

In non-basketball news, the Air Yeezy 2 in Zen Grey/Red surfaced (but not on Kanye’s feet). A nice preview of the Nike SB releases for the remainder of the year as well as 2012 made some headlines, and a few collaborations caught our attention, like the upcoming Staple x New Balance, UNDFTD x Stussy x HECTIC x New Balance, Gorillaz x Converse, and the Ronnie Fieg x Asics partnership. adidas continues its respectful heritage-based releases with ‘Made For Tokyo’ edition of the adidas Superstar 80′s. Celebrity Feet, while small in stature, generated some buzz as this week’s features included Kanye West, Jay-Z, and the eccentric Theophilus London. Another ‘list’ was a hot topic, as we got a look at the fifty best sneaker ad campaigns in history. Plenty more below, so sit back, relax, and enjoy this latest edition of Sneaker News Weekly Rewind!

Air Jordan X Retro Chicago Available Early on eBay

There’s at least a couple of brand new colorways coming up early in 2012, but we’d wager a majority of the attention surrounding upcoming AJX releases remains on one of the originals from 1995. The Air Jordan 10 Retro ‘Chicago’ is back but this time carries with it the same kind of checkerboard sockliner that appeared on the OG Steels and other original issues. This white, black and True Red edition, like all its City Series cohorts came out of the box back then with solid linings; does this change qualify as an upgrade or should all retros be presented exactly as they were upon debuting? It’s a choice you’ll have to make along with whether to get these and/or the ‘Old Royal’ edition, but either way, the ‘Chicago’ Air Jordan X remains the only thing Jordan Brand has ready for 2012 that’s already available early from mr_igotem937 on eBay.

Nike Zoom Kobe VI ‘Lakers 3 D + Gradient Release Reminder

Now is the time of year we’re used to see Kobe Bryant celebrating an NBA Championship and raising the banner at Staples Center along with new colorways of his Nike Basketball signatures to commemorate the achievement.  Well, not only did Kobe come up short in the quest for an MJ-tying sixth ring, but the league itself seems bent on preventing him from having another shot.  They can keep the Mamba off the court, but you can’t keep him away from Nike Basketball retailers who’re about to release two of the most compelling colorways from this entire product cycle on Saturday.  The Nike Zoom Kobe VI‘s Flywire-embedded TPU uppers are perfect for complex palettes and the ‘Lakers Gradient’ and ’3-D Gradient’ editions each offer their own take on mastering multicolored snakescales.  Click through to see them one last time and then grab a pair at select retailers or get yours now on eBay.

Nike SB P Rod V Mid Premium Blackout | Available

If you’re starting to notice an increase in dope kicks on retail workers this holiday season, it might be sneakerheads looking to bolster their budgets to account for all the Nike SB heat hitting stores as you read this. We just showed you the ‘Tauntaun’ and ‘Patagonia’ Dunk SBs, and now here’s another pair to join the former as a super-limited Quickstrike release, the new Nike SB P-Rod 5 Mid Premium ‘Blackout’. These aren’t just a deluxe take on Paul Rodriguez’ latest signature: they’re crafted in an all-black mix of wool and suede whose corded laces capture that boot vibe we’ve seen on so many shoes of late, without violating the P-Rod V’s true skate essence. Peep more photos after the jump, then head out to grab these from select Nike SB retailers like Premier.

Nike Zoom Rookie LWP Dynamic Blue Wolf Grey White New Images

Sneaker News just scooped you on the December 21st release date for the white/black colorway, which means that’s almost certainly the final Nike Zoom Rookie LWP drop of 2011. So while we’re waiting for days to get longer after the winter solstice, we’ll also be eagerly awaiting the arrival of yet more brightness in the form of the ‘Dynamic Blue’ Zoom Rookies. This palette has a frosty appearance that’d be perfect any time during the winter season, though their vibrant primary color is also the kind of thing you’d expect to see during the hottest summer days. So you’re looking now at one of those shoes that you can not only keep in your rotation, but one that’ll continue to break necks even as they age. Check them out in more images after the jump and stick with Sneaker News for the US release date. via Kicks-crew

Liu Xiang x Nike Running Collection Part 2

The punchline is pretty tired at this point, but it was once a novelty in the rap game to claim you had “kicks like Liu Kang”, referencing a character in the arcade classic Mortal Kombat. Going forward it might be more appropriate to call on Olympic athlete Liu Xang given his killer collection put together in collaboration with Nike Sportswear. Part one dropped back in the summer and were here with the follow up, a four pair collection with featuring the and the . The capsule is split down the middle color-wise for the ladies and men, with imperial purple pairs for the fellas and max orange for the ladies. Nike Air Max 95 Obsidian Slate Blue

If there’s one thing that England’s JD Sports does better than any other European retailer, it’s exclusive colorways for classic runners that stop just short of being labeled ‘collaborations’.  The latest Only-at-JDs are the epitome of the above referenced trend, a Nike Air Max 95 that prominently features dark shades of blue.  This one’s just a single lighter shade away from drawing comparisons to the legndary Stash-authored releases from the mid/late ’00s, the kind of look that’s sure to draw its fair share of passionate sneakerheads and casual buyers alike.  Click through for additional images and get yours from the only place that has them: JD Sports.

Nike SB Dunk Low Crown Royal

At this point Nike SB has a list of hot sneakers that reads like a set of nicknames at a group home: Wino, Heineken, and Skunk to name a few. It looks like their subtle tributes to illicit behaviors will carry on in 2012 with the above pictured ‘Crown Royal’ colorway, a sneaker that first popped up in our massive 2012 preview for the Nike SB Dunk Low. Taking on the look of the velvet bag that accompanies the whiskey of the same name, this sneaker comes in a clean blue suede on the upper with bits of gold to complete the regal look. Get a full look at them after the jump and let us know where this ranks among the other releases that pulled off the adult beverage look. via NSB
