Slack-jawed downward gaze? Check. Form-fitting black leather pants? Check. Nike Air Yeezy 2 in black and pink? Check. We’ve come to expect this kind of look from Kanye West of late, the latest Mr. West spotting bringing together his aloof-looking daytime swag with a lower half that’s been with him on stage at the Watch the Throne Tour shows these past couple weeks. In fact, this appears to be an item-for-item match except for the Versace x H&M jacket, of the outfit he wore at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show last week; which combo works best? Click through to see some more images and be sure to check back with Sneaker News for the Nike Air Yeezy 2 release date. via Zimbio

It’s fitting that so far, the colorways are roughly split half-and-half between tonal and high-contrast, because the Nike LeBron 9 was built to accomodate that kind of bold polarity. Designs like the ‘Cannon’, ‘Miami Hurricanes’, ‘Scarface’ and Freegums’ collabo all go for the same kind of in-your-face colorblocking as this new Laser Pink LeBron 9 GS. Opting for a black base plus white on the midsole and a Metaillc Silver Swoosh, this eye-popping flamingo look could’ve been the ‘South Beach’ LeBron 9 in a different universe, but let’s lay the speculation to rest because right now in the flesh, the LeBron 9 ‘Laser Pink’ is available at Nike Basketball retailers like CitySole.

What a difference a few years makes. In Game 6 of the 1995 Eastern Conference Finals, Michael attempted the Bulls’ ‘last shot’ of the game, but ended up making an errant pass in mid-air that led to a turnover and an eventual loss. How did Michael bounce back? By leading the Bulls to the greatest NBA team record of all-time and winning three straight championships. Yikes. So in 1998 in another Game 6 scenario, Michael stuck with his primary weapon – his mid-range jumper – and sealed the deal by driving right, crossing back to his left, and shattering the hearts of 40,000+ Utah Jazz fans. It was a moment that defined Michael’s career, but let’s not forget that his defense was also one of the best ever (remember, he stole the ball from Karl Malone to set up that last shot scene). Dropping this December 17th will be the Air Jordan XIV ‘Last Shot’, one week before the Concords hit the stage. Must-have for you? Let us know what you think, and if you can’t wait to get these in your hand, snag a pair now on eBay.

Although the ‘Basketball Never Stops’ campaign came from the Nike headquarters, adidas couldn’t agree more. adidas Basketball is also affected by the NBA Lockout (which took a turn for the worse), as its marquee players Derrick Rose and Dwight Howard as well as the rest of its NBA representatives are all forced to play games off the NBA courts, displaying their signature shoes on an unofficial platform. Regardless, adidas Basketball still has a bunch in store for us from the adidas adiZero Rose line as well as the Crazy Light series. The adidas adiZero Rose 2.5 comes a number of new colorways, like a ‘China’ version with unique, molded detailing and a White/Green/Yellow Oakland A’s rendition, while the Crazy Light and Crazy Light low return in a few new colorways. Check out what’s to come after the jump and let us know what catches your eye. via hoopchina.

The Nike Air Trainer SC II is best known for its original ‘Infrared’ and ‘Citron’ colorways and perhaps in recent months the new drops that employ the same blocking schemes with different vibrant accent shades. That’s part of what makes the second Trainer SC such a geat candidate for early ’90s time capsule material, but in no way precludes this twenty year old trainer from proving its worth in thedarker side of the spectrum. A Dark Metallic Grey leather edition just proved this fact and its case is further bolstered by the black nubuck edition pictured above. Expertly applied grey and white sections give these new Air Trainer SC IIs an unprecedentedly crisp feel, which is fitting given that you’ll need to brave the slowly freezing elements to grab these in-store only at Premier.

Not content to let Nike Sportswear own the ‘wheat’ look that was featured in this VT pack, Nike SB has got their hands on the natural looking tone as well. We saw it pop up on the Supreme x Nike SB ’94 ‘Nubuck’ joints and it now looks like team rider Stefan Janoski wants to make a little bread himself. This Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski Mid set for Summer 2012 pairs the wheat look with with a deep navy blue on the uppers and a light gum sole on the bottom. The result is a very organic look, which feels right giving the unassuming silhouette of Janoski’s signature sneaker. It has never been a better time for GS-sized Jordan fans. Over the weekend, Sneaker News showed you the upcoming Air Jordan X GS in the Violet/Volt colorway, which is likely headed for an early 2012 release. However, these Black/Desert Pink Air Jordan XIVs should hold you down until then; it’s like a girl’s version of the ‘Last Shot’ colorway, replacing the Bulls-inspired Red with a girls-inspired pink, but with a glossy croc-skin toe and heel panel. These just hit Jordan Brand retailers like CitySole, so check out your local spot to pick these up, or grab a pair now on eBay.

There was quite a bit of Foamposite construction on display at the adidas-sponsored Dwight Howard’s D-12 Celebrity All Star Game, but neither of the pairs we saw worn by the guy who introduced the spaceage material are scheduled for retail release. Images like those always taste bittersweet, but luckily, even if you can’t get your hands on the all-white Nike Air Foamposite Ones Penny Hardaway has been spotted wearing recently, there is indeed a fully stocked arsenal of Foam Ones ready to go in 2012. The ‘Metallic Red’ Air Foamposite One is one of those latter day Air Penny releases that hints at Hardaway’s time as one of the Miami Heat, though that stint was short and insignificant enough to his legacy that you’ll probably hear more people note their colorway and its proximity to Valentine’s Day. In either case, they do indeed paint a rosy picture for the future of Foamposite colorways; will you get on board with these before the crazier ‘USA’ and ‘Galaxy’ editions hit later next year? Check them out in greater detail after the jump and stick with Sneaker News for the Metallic Red Foamposite release date. via Osneaker

Converse doesn’t have to integrate other footwear styles into its flagship design to keep it fresh. They can also do quite a lot by manipulating subtler design elements, as has been the case countless times with the ankle collar on the Converse Chuck Taylor All Star. We’ve seen a variety of two-toned and hidden-image-revealing flip-down pairs over the past few years and most recently the ‘Collar Break’ edition offered a novel take on material distribution that’s replicated, albeit in a totally different way, on the ‘Double Collar’ All Star High. These feature an extra quilted padding to the classic Chuck silhouette whose diamond bulges are accomodated by a split heel, at the crest of which you’ll find a convenient pull tab. The One Star does it again, and you can grab a pair of the Double Collar Chucks from Size?.

Nothing says hardcore, rugged, made-for-the-outdoors than floral prints. All kidding aside, Sneaker News first previewed the next collaboration between Nike Sportswear and UK’s Liberty back in late October, and here we have a detailed look as well as some release information for this classic shoe. The Air Approach as you know was introduced alongside the Lava Dome and Magma back in the 80′s, but like many of Nike’s performance-first models of past years, the Approach has transformed into a Nike Sportswear selection, receiving an added bit of beauty with the trademark Liberty prints. These will hit select retailers this December, so check out the new images below and let us know what you think.

However ironic it may be that one of the world’s leading toy companies is known for their practically clinical sneaker collaborations, you can’t really argue with the results any time Medicom Toy gets up with a major footwear brand. Their latest collaboration comes on this new Medicom x Converse Jack Purcell, a lowtop cast in a milky white fuzz that looks soft as a cloud next to select grey accents including the Bearbrick ‘@’ head logo on the lateral heels.
