Nike SB Zoom Koston 1 White Gum

The brand’s backbone consists of designs like the Blazer and Dunk that’ve been around for decades; could the same hold true for Nike SB’s Zoom Koston 1?  It might be unlikely to see a skater’s signature repeated for that long, especially when Paul Rodriguez has already set the bar at an annual product cycle, but there’s no denying the Koston One’s timeless appeal, especially in this classic summer colorway.  This is one of those shoes that’s a particularly strong candidate for a boldly colored lace swap, but they can just as easily serve as a calming note amid your otherwise energetic summertime wardrobe.  Check them out in greater detail after the jump and stick with Sneaker News for updates on these and all of the rest of the summer 2012 Nike SB release dates.  via N-SB

Dwight Howards D12 Celebrity All Star Game Recap

The ‘other’ NBA season continued down in Florida when hosted the D12 Foundation Celebrity All-Star Game at the the University of Central Florida. This game featured a bit of a twist; the two teams were divided up into New School and Old School, with the former consisting of current NBA players and the latter featuring former NBA stars like and Steve Francis. The kicks spotted on court had a heavy ‘Air Penny’ theme, as Penny himself wore the Nike Zoom Rookie ‘Memphis Blues’ during warm-ups and switched up to the all-white Foamposite One 1-of-1 PEs for the game. Other notables included Lil’ Wayne’s Binary Blue Zoom Rookies (he coached the ‘New School’ squad) and Earl Clark’s Glow In The Darks, ‘Orlando’ Customs, Steve Franchise’s Air Jordan 8.0, Quentin Richardson’s Air Jordan XI ‘DMP’, and ’s adiPower Howard. Check out the additional images from this great charity event below and let us know who takes the crown for the best kicks! Thanks to @notmattg!

Nike Dynasty High Vintage Size? Exclusives

Where has the Nike Dynasty High been over the past year-plus?  This ankle-strapped hightop basketballer enjoyed a resurrection has been overshadowed by newer models that borrow its 80s roundball styling, but this new pack exclusive to one of Britain’s best sneaker stores proves they still have plenty of generations left to rule.  These new Vintage Dynasty Highs are a prime example of pre-yellowed soles done right on a Nike Sportswear VNTG release, their two-toned leather uppers giving the effect that these could indeed be an original drop from over two decades ago.  They’ll be a bit easier to get than a true OG, but only if you answer the question now at Size?.

Nike Huarache Free 2012 Basketball On Foot Images

So what does the first basketball shoe to feature a barefoot-mimicking sole look like, once it’s actually on a foot?  That question is answered with this new set of images depicting the Nike Huarache Free 2012 Basketball as they were intended.  The original white, blue and purple colorway looks quite fresh, just be sure the same can be said of your socks with the signature ankle cutouts revealing a dip in the Huarache series’ cozy neoprene bootie.  Expect these shortly at US Nike Sportswear retailers, and in the meantime, check out some additional images from London’s Foot Patrol.

Nike SB Omar Salazar LR Short Film Part 1

Plenty of skateboarding videos disclaim their antics, but if you take that literally with Nike SB’s latest short, the advice is to avoid being thrown out of a building inside a duffel bag, then don’t skitch your way into and out of a moving taxi, all to avoid a couple of men in black.  But you wouldn’t let them catch Omar Salazar, either, so how should the second part go?  Click through to see the promo video for the LunarLon-cushioned Nike SB Omar Salazar LR and let us know where you think Omar will end up.

Air Jordan III Revis Island

Not a one of Tom Brady’s three touchdown passes in Sunday night’s romp over the New York Jets came from receivers defended by cornerback Darrelle Revis.  The Pro Bowl DB is enjoying another fine season, but he’ll need to turn on the afterburners to help the Jets capture one of the AFC’s wild card playoff berths.  Gang Green fans will hope niceties like this personalized Air Jordan III Retro won’t turn Revis Island into a cushy place to visit.  These laser etched Black Cements shout out Darrelle’s Pennsylvania home town and add his number 24 in huge block type to the lateral ankles.  Check them out in greater detail after the jump and let us know where these rank in a year when we’ve seen quite a variety of black Air Jordan 3s.  via John Geiger

Nike Air Foamposite One Metallic Red New Photos

Black and red reigns supreme when it comes to basketball sneaker colorways, but it it possible to be too bred? Those who’d pick the Nike Air Foamposite One in the above pictured ‘Metallic Red’ build over 2001′s black and red Foam Pros might point to the One’s translucent sole as the tiebreaker. Or maybe it’s the subtle white Swoosh that leaves the entire upper to groove a sick baseline for your early 2012 wardrove. Either way, they’re a can’t miss drop even as the Foamposite family has gotten more and more attention of late; will you be able to grab them all? Click through to see more of this Metallic Red Air Foamposite One and let us know if it’s worth nearly four bills to get a pair nearly three months early from Marquee Sole.

Nike Air Force 1 Bespoke Crown Royal By Slovadon

For sneakerheads, is it true that our sneakers represent who we are? If that’s true for Joshua Slovin, then we know that he enjoys Dom Perignon, Dutch Masters, and Crown Royal. Here’s Joshua ‘Slovadon’ Slovin’s third Air Force 1 Bespoke featured on Sneaker News, inspired by Crown Royal whisky; the colorway matches the regal purple and gold colorway, with the suede upper and contrast gold stitching mimicking the soft velvet pouch that accompanies the bottle. Enjoy your evening with some Crown (the real stuff), but make sure you check out this latest Bespoke after the jump!

Air Jordan III GS Grey Flip Available Early on eBay

Once 2011 comes to a close, it might be a while before the next Retro release…so might as well go out with guns blazin’, right? Here’s another look at the GS colorway of the ‘Grey Flip’; it features two tones of Grey (Cool Grey and Dark Grey) with hints of Cerise blue on the Jumpman logos as well as the lace eyelets at the base of the tongue. The ‘Grey Flip’ was one of the hot topics on Sneaker News when we first showed them to you mid-week, and rightfully so; many of our readers lamented at the fact that these are a GS release (although a men’s release hasn’t been ruled out), but gotta have the small-footed Jordan fans rockin’ some exclusives, right? Take another look at this Holiday 2011 release below and stick with Sneaker News for more information as it develops, and if you want these in your hands now, cop one of the available pairs from coolmackjon on eBay.

SBTG x Nike Air Max 90 Unknown Pleasures Customs

The custom works of Mark Ong (SBTG) are particularly notable for its strong connections to Ong’s home country of Vietnam. Dating back to his earliest works with custom sneakers, Ong has implemented militarism in his designs, like the tiger camo and color profile seen in this latest work, but look closer and you’ll see a unique graphic on the upper. Look familiar? A co-inspiration of this design falls on the shoulders of Joy Division, an English rock band, and its debut album Unknown Pleasures; the graphic is taken from the album artwork of that classic album, giving these customs an added level of Mark Ong’s personality. Check out the extra images below and let us know what you think of this latest custom work.
