Just yesterday Sneaker news filled you in on the official unveiling of the Nike Zoom KD IV, but today, we’ve got an extra treat regarding the launch of Durant’s fourth signature shoe. Kevin Durant sat down with lead designer Leo Chang to talk about the Nike Zoom KD IV and what it brings to the table. The most notable feature is the new Adaptive Fit technology, which allows the KD IV to be a multi-position basketball shoe, suitable for any player of any size at any spot on the hardwood. Check out the full video below to get filled in about the Zoom KD IV process and stick with Sneaker News for more Nike Zoom KD IV updates.

Last week, the Nike Zoom Rookie LWP in the Binary Blue colorway hit stores, marking the official wide launch of the latest Air Penny shoe. Going back to the slightly more limited distribution is the ‘Max Orange’ colorway of the Zoom Rookie that we showed you in September; the quote the very first comment left by a Sneaker News reader, “These are *expletive* gorgeous”. Well, you can finally get these on your feet because these are currently scheduled to drop this Friday, November 18th, exclusively at Foot Locker House of Hoops retailers. Must-have for you, or are you saving up for the White/Black colorway in late December? An extra shot awaits you below so take a look and let us know what you think. Thanks to OnlyMJsCollected.

The latest instance of sneaker scene simulacra sees a band who at some level does not exist collaborate on a new release of the model that’s perhaps the single most identifiable in the entire history of athletic footwear. The Gorillaz x Converse Chuck Taylor All Star hightop was designed by the group’s co-founder, artist/designer Jamie Hewlett, who applied a novel camouflage print that might remind you of another primate-branded clothing label that rose to prominence right around the time of Hewlett’s band’s 2001 debut LP. So is the Gorillaz’ camo print better than Bape’s? Check them out in greater detail after the jump and stick with Sneaker News for updates on these and the other ‘Three Artists. One Song’ collaborations scheduled to release next February.

In 2011, we got a new sole for the Nike SB Dunk Pro along with improvements to its internal cushioning and a bunch of colorways evoking the brand’s golden age. The technical improvements will obviously remain into the next year, and it looks like we might expect more of the same kind of nostalgic palettes, perhaps even two of them combined into one as is the case with this latest Dunk Low SB. The nickname ‘Tiffany J-Pack’ (or its inverse) would be an obvious fit for this black suede design that adds the color we’re familiar with associating to Diamond Supply Co, but applied in the blocking pattern borrowed from the original Air Jordan 1. Peep this June 2012 drop in more detail after the jump and let us know if you’d be exited to see more classics combined in the coming months. via N-SB

Releasing tomorrow is the limited edition ‘Leatherbacks’ colorway of the Asics Gel Lyte III, exclusively at the new KITH retail shop in Lower Manhattan. Likely the final Asics x Ronnie Fieg collaboration of 2011, the Leatherbacks was first previewed over the summer and later beautified on the feet of model Jen Yeager. If you’ve been fiending for a detailed viewing of this great release (without the distraction of a swimsuit model), here it is; dubbed the ‘Leatherbacks’ for the black leather construction on the the rear portion of this shoe, this GL3 is touched with impeccable hints of aqua blue on the outsole as well as the on the border of the Asics logo, and given a nice textural contrast with suede on the toe. Again, these are hitting KITH NYC on Friday and will be available online the same day at 11 AM, so check out the gallery below and let us know what you think.

Just last night Sneaker News gave you a look at a jaw-dropping ‘Watch The Throne’ colorway of the Nike LeBron 9, but guess who was wearing them at the show in Miami? None other than Jay-Z’s NBA superstar pal LeBron James. LBJ has been throwing up the ROC diamond for years due to that close friendship – one that had a few experts and analysts selecting the New Jersey Nets as the ‘Decision’ for LeBron. Again, the Nike LeBron 9 features a Black/Gold colorway with a luxurious graphic print on the inner lining and laces, inspired by the signature works of Givenchy Creative Director Riccardo Tisci. And additional shot awaits you below so take a look and let us know what you think.

Further proof that Nike All Conditions Gear is absolutely killing it these days: here’s a model that was born of two Nike Basketball classics and features a cushion derived from that same lineage that can still absolutely stomp the life out of the roughest conditions and/or terrain. The Nike ACG Air Max Bakin’ Posite Boot is back for 2011 in a Metallic Dark Grey getup that might have you wondering where these fall in both the Foam family legacy as well as the ACG heirarchy. Could this color Foamposite be even more pleasing than the Metallic Pewter colorway released on an Air Foamposite One this spring, and how do they rank against other recent ACG standouts like the Premium Boot, Zoom Meriwether and Lunar MacLeay? Let us know with a comment when you click through to see more images and check for these at select Nike Sportswear dealers like Oneness or get them right now from the comfort of your computer on eBay.

While the NBA players and owners continue to wage a cold war, the hot stove is keeping baseball warm in the press with word that a new collective bargaining agreement will radically realign the leagues and divisions, resulting in year-round interleague play. But even if some of baseball’s traditions change to accommodate the evolving economics of big time pro sports, you can bet the game’s best will begin their offseason preparations in earnest soon after the conclusion of the season. And just a couple of weeks after the World Series wrapped up, it’s just that time, and what better way to reflect the evolution of the game than a hybrid based on a beloved classic trainer like the Nike Air Max JR? This insane new 3M edition is a suitable compliment to the Vapor Flash Jacket we just showed you or any of the Swoosh’s other reflective fare, and you’ll find them right now at select Nike Sportswear retailers like Extra Butter or on eBay.

The ‘Dark Oak’ colorway of the Nike SB Dunk High has navigated through the pages of Sneaker News in quite an odd way. We first previewed this colorway as a sample back in April, and then once again in August. As recently as this past Monday, the Nike SB Dunk High ‘Dark Oak’ was reported as a December 2011 release, but Nike SB retailer Premier dropped these a couple of weeks early. Unfortunately, this release is an in-store drop, so if you’re not located in Michigan, you’ll have to wait for your local SB purveyor to have ‘em up for sale. In the meantime, take a look at these new images courtesy of Premier, and let us know what you think.

It’s not exactly a trend in the truest sense of the word, but the last year-plus of Sneaker News regarding Nike 6.0 footwear indeed proves that there’s a marked upward swing in the Swoosh’s action sports brand’s quality. Nike Six might never overtake its big brother SB in terms of street cred or collectability, but the use of LunarLon footbeds on the new Nike 6.0 Braata LR and Zoom LeShot LR allow for the same kind of extra-cushioned vulcanized soles that improve feel and comfort. And don’t forget about updates to established series like the Mogan Mid 3 and Encore 2; these and all the rest of the Nike 6.0 spring 2012 collection await your click on the jump below. via HB
