Already nine LeBron 9 colorways have released, and a single NBA game hasn’t been played! The Cannons, inspired by the military base where the Miami Heat trained during the 201o offseason, actually released in early October at select Miami retailers as this year’s ‘Pre-Heat’ colorway, but the rest of the world has its chance to add these to respective collections this Saturday. Featuring a high-energy combination of military-themed colors (and a secondary set of orange-on-orange speckled laces), the LeBron 9 ‘Cannon’ is arguably the most popular of the bunch thus far, and should go fast once they become available. You can cop these this Friday, December 2nd at select Nike retailers, while others like WEST will have them on sale Saturday. Or you can ensure yourself a pair now by hitting up eBay.

It’s clear by now that Nike is behind the ‘wheat’ look 100%, after the dope Vac-Tech triple they dropped and the subsequent uses of the same color on Nike SB releases like the Supreme x Nike SB ’94 and the Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski Mid. So while this Nike SB Zoom Bruin is technically labeled as ‘golden straw’ on the colorway, the similarity is too strong to ignore. The burnt gold suede of the upper is paired with a stark black Swoosh that gives this low-top model perhaps more contrast than any of the other ‘wheat’ looking sneakers we’ve seen in the past. If you like what you see, hit the jump for an additional look and pick these up now at Premier.

When you think of the Nike Zoom Hyperdunk 2011, it’s hard to think of anybody but Blake Griffin. The man made this shoe his own when Nike released the earth-shattering “10.0″ Slam Dunk Contest PE, that has undoubtedly been the most celebrated model so far for the latest Hyperdunk flagship. It didn’t stop there though, as another PE dropped in the watery ‘treasure blue’ look to go with his Clippers uni as well as the recently spotted Supreme ‘Blake Show’ edition. Well here’s another one to add to the list, repping an inverted look from his last pair of PE’s, with a dominantly white upper that puts sport red on the Swoosh with the treasure blue playing the background. How does this Blake Griffin ‘home’ colorway match up against his other special releases this year? Let us know in the comments and hit up Eastbay if you need a pair.

Judging by the looks we’ve had so far at the Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski releases scheduled for 2012, the Nike SB design team seems to have picked up on one of the more subtle ways to give this sneaker some pop. The ’4/20′ and ‘Wheat’ colorways have both shown a contrasting color on the piping, and this so-called vintage purple version slated for next year does the same. Keeping it from being just another black release, the royal tones than run along the piping introduce just enough color to let the sneaker turn some heads. Follow us after the jump to get a better look at let us know what you think of the Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski line-up for next year. via NSB

Nike Sportswear has earned mixed reviews for the pre-yellowed look it usually applies to Vintage series releases, but Sneaker News readers were particularly vocal in discussing our first look at the red pair from this pack yesterday. It seems many would be thrilled with the Nike Air Max Light VNTG in classic colors with mesh and muted suede tones, but the oxidized rear midsole might be the kind of thing that’ll send some to order a fresh bottle of Sea Glow. But whether you’re for or against the yellowed foam look, it’s hard to argue against getting this oft-overlooked classic with its original Swoosh and shape; will you be making arrangements to grab one or both when this Quickstrike two-pack touches down on Friday, December 2nd at stores like Stickabush?

Cambridge, Mass’s Concepts is known as one of New England’s premier sneaker boutiques and they’ve been able to season a smorgasbord of collaborations with the kind of local flavor of which most other shops could only dream. From the various ‘Lobster’ Dunk Low SBs to this year’s superb New Balance 999 ‘Kennedy’, CNCPTS has a knack for conveying colloquialisms and coming up with something a bit more special than just your average guest star colorway. The same can now be said of one of CNCPTS’ alums, as Frank the Butcher has lent some of his childhood memories for the first collabo release from his newly opened Boylston Trading Company.
The BTC x adidas Originals Forum Hi ’Hustler’s Crest’ was inspired by a young Frank Rivera seeing street hustlers rocking a special makeup of Forums roughly two decades ago in his hometown of Wooster Worcester. They stood out against the mass of Superstar shelltoes that dominated the Boston area around that time and stood out to Frank to the extent that over twenty years later, he was looking to recreate some of that fast life luxury with three monochromatic lux suede designs that add a unique gold and black embroidery to their lateral ankles. Check out shots of all three pairs after the jump and stick with Sneaker News for the release date.

The Nike Zoom Hyperdunk 2011 was softly launched during the 2011 NBA All-Star Game when rising star Blake Griffin took the court wearing the ’10.0′ PE. Now the unofficial spokesperson for this year’s Hyperdunk flagship, Blake Griffin will soon take the NBA court wearing some new colorways of the Hyperdunk 2011 – possibly the Blue/Red/White colorway that dropped not long ago, or this PE colorway of the Nike Zoom Hyperdunk 2011 Supreme called ‘The Blake Show’. The concept of Blake as a late-night talk-show host stemmed from and early-May appearance on Late Night with Conan O’Brien, and now that the 2011-12 NBA Season has been given the green light, BG will certainly hear the roaring applauses on a nightly basis (just not behind a talk-show host’s desk). ‘The Blake Show’ PE of the HD2K11 Supreme features a Grey/Red colorway matching Blake’s suit and tie that he wore during the Conan taping, and also features a fun insole with ‘The Blake Show’ logo on a faux-hardwood detail. These are set to drop this Thursday at Nike Basketball retailers overseas like Nike Park, so stay tuned to Sneaker News for U.S. Release info and let us know which of the three Blake-attributed Hyperdunks you like best.

Converse’s partnership with (PRODUCT)RED, the worldwide charity that promotes awareness for the fight against AIDS in Africa, continues this Holiday 2011 season with a Chuck Taylor designed by Brooklyn-based artist José Parlá. Following last year’s successful RED x Converse Chuck Taylor All Star capsule that featured other well-known artists such as Cody Hudson and Parra, the José Parlá x Converse Chuck Taylor utilizes the artist’s signature brush strokes, which blends calligraphy, textures, collage, and colors that sums up into a complex theme inspired by his painting “Ephemeral Pitches, and Notes, Rhythm and Phonetics”. These will release on World AIDS Day, which falls on December 1st, 2011, at Converse First String retailers worldwide for $100, as well as the Stussy NYC store. More images below, so take a peek and let us know what you think.

Exemplifying Gary Payton’s bravado and lock-down defense on the court, Nike Basketball created ‘The Glove’, aka the Nike Zoom Flight ’98. Undoubtedly one of the most advanced sneakers of its time, ‘The Glove’ featured the unique ‘Monkey Paw’ stability cage and an upper shroud that was released via the off-center zipper. During a recent autograph signing, Gary Payton himself recalled the Zoom Flight ’98 as his favorite signature shoe, and even noted that Nike will re-release the shoe in October of 2012. Even last year, Payton was spotted wearing the Zoom Flight ’98 overseas, although the nature of the shoe (OG or a Retro sample) wasn’t confirmed. Excited? Check out the video after the jump for confirmation from GP himself and let us know if you’re excited at this release.
