Nike Dunk High AC VT Anthracite Orange

Throughout the year we’ve seen the Nike Dunk High VT pop up again and again, applying the seamless air-tight look across a range of textures and colors. The latest permutation, the Nike Dunk High AC VT, scales the look back a bit, mixing up the vac-tech look with a more traditional Dunk upper and of course the namesake autoclaved sole. The two versions of the Nike Dunk High AC VT we’ve seen so far have stuck to a pretty unified palette, but this one breaks the mold with a blazing orange Swoosh across the side of the sneaker. Follow us after the jump for a more complete look and be on the lookout for this colorway from Nike Sportswear retailers like Titolo.

Nike LeBron 9 Low USA

Earlier today Sneaker News gave you additional angles of the Summer 2012 releasing Nike LeBron 9 Low, which features a 360-degree Max Air unit instead of the Zoom/Max combo unit as well as a full Hyperfuse hyper (no carbon-fiber weave). In addition to providing some actual shots of the shoe, we gave you a look at four upcoming high-energy colorways, which featured a mix of neon-esque colorways like Bright Turquoise and Mint Candy. Here’s one that’s more fitting of a classic All-American theme – a White/Navy/Red that would likely release around the Fourth of July holiday. Much like the Nike LeBron 8 Veteran’s Day, this upcoming colorway of the LeBron 9 Low celebrates the nation’s roots using colors from the flag, using a contrasting red on the forefoot Flywire and midfoot ‘wing’ embedded below the Hyperfuse mesh. Check out the extra shot below and stick with Sneaker News for more LeBron 9 Low updates. via TSG.

Nike SB P Rod V Mid ‘Cinco de Mayo’

As the calender rolls around, you can bet on sneaker companies dropping colorways to coincide with various holidays. One that Nike SB team rider Paul Rodriguez has made sure to give a little extra attention to is Cinco De Mayo, with each of his successive signature sneakers usually popping up in the familiar red, white, and green colorway. We previewed the latest from this tradition a while back, and we’re here now with a clearer look at this Spring 2012 release. The shoe actually tones it down quite a bit on the red and green side of things, opting for a milky white suede across the upper. The complimentary colors do show up, with a red outsole and a bit of green for the Nike SB tongue tag. Get a full look after the jump and stay tuned with us for more release info. via NSB

NCAA Feet: Week Of 11/21 11/27

The biggest basketball news of the last week came from the NBA, as an agreement between the players and owners was tentatively reached and a Christmas Day starting line was set. However, there wasn’t a lack of basketball action; San Diego State battled Arizona in a clash of the sneakerhead schools, while Syracuse came with their A-game during the NIT Season Tip-Off amidst the scandalous stories surrounding assistant coach Bernie Fine. The UNC Tar Heels, ranked #1 in the nation, feel to UNLV in a stunning loss as well. Below we have a nice recap of some of the notable sneakers worn during the games, like the Black/Cement III and Air Jordan IX on the Orange feet, the Oregon State AJ9 PEs, Concords on Jordan’s boys, and of course, a slew of Jordan heat from the aforementioned SDSU/Arizona match-up. Check out all the action below and stick with Sneaker News for more NCAA Feet action as the season rolls along! via Yahoo!.

Chris Lees Top 25 Sneakers Of All Time

Chris Lee of CToTheJL recently hooked up with Complex to put together – what else – a list of his twenty-five favorite sneakers of all time. To describe it shortly – chunky skate shoes, collaborations, and the occasional GR shoe. It’s definitely one of the more eclectic lists we’ve ever seen, but that seems to mirror Lee’s personal and unique taste. He likes what he sees, and what he likes is streetwear and the skate scene, so expect a ton of that by hitting up Complex for the list in its entirety after checking out a sampling of it below.

Air Jordan IV White Cement | New Detailed Images

We’ve seen it a million times by now, but a sneaker as historic, relevant, and empirically gorgeous to the bone is always worth a second look. In fact, this new set of images of the upcoming Air Jordan IV White/Tech Grey actually pictures the shoe in various backdrops – on tile, in a hallway, on…train tracks. The best depiction of the February 2012 release was when it was juxtaposed with the 1999 Retro release, which revealed quite a number of changes made to the ’12 version, like the darker shade of grey (technically Tech Grey, not Cement Grey); despite the differences from the ’99 release, the White/Cement AJ4 will be a hot release and a popular pick for many ‘Best Of’ lists by the end of the 2012 year. Check out the set of images below and let us know which ‘themed’ set of pictures you like best! via kickz-lab.

Extra Butter x Reebok Pump Ahchoo Teaser

“Do you know…praying mantis?”

In a generation where sneaker retailers have taken the online blogging stream by storm, Long Island’s Extra Butter stays miles above sea level with originality and creativity matched by very few in history. After celebrating its four-year anniversary over the Thanksgiving Holiday Weekend, Extra Butter brings us a Cyber Monday special – a teaser preview of its upcoming Reebok Pump collaboration. Of course, with the store’s silver-screen motif, they’ll have to set it up in only way they know how; using Mel Brooks’ hilarious character ‘Ahchoo’ of Robin Hood: Men In Tights, Extra Butter gives us a quick snippet of the upcoming collaborative release, which we could presume would be similar to those worn by Ahchoo (portrayed in an Oscar-worthy performance by Dave Chappelle) during the hilarious fight scene. Check out full video after the jump and stay tuned to Sneaker News for more updates.

Nike Air Max Light VNTG QS White Neutral Grey Sport Red

The Air Max Light doesn’t get too much love, but many of readers did appreciate one of our Sneaker News: Classics Revisited segment which placed a worthy spotlight on an OG pair. Arriving at select Nike Sportswear retailers is the Nike Air Max Light in original colorways, given a full VNTG treatment – pre-yellowed soles, softened sueded, mesh uppers, the works. Even the outsole has that chalky residue, which is a result of oxidation. The VNTG effect, oftened maligned, fits right in with the stuck-in-a-storage-box appeal with the Air Max Light, doesn’t it? These are a Quickstrike release so expect them only at select accounts like ShelfLife in Europe, so act fast once you spot them because they’ll be gone fast!

New Balance 997 Grey Navy White Red

With the rising demand of Retro-inspired lifestyle classics from tried-and-true brands like New Balance, releases like this new CM997HWB in a quintessential NB-build deserve more attention. But New Balance hasn’t altered its formula one bit; ABZORB cushioning and hardened heel-cap have always been a standard for this mid-high level New Balance running sneaker. This new release should catch your eye, especially for those who missed out on the limited release of the CNCPTS x New Balance 999 ‘The Kennedy’; it’s got a similar nautical-themed colorway of navy/grey/red tones, and like the 999, offers supreme comfort. UpThereStore has these in stock so take a look at the extra shots below and look out for these at New Balance retailers near you.
