The Nike ACG Air Max Conquer seems appropriately named for a boot that can so easily excel both in the streets and off road. It’s a tank-like, weather’s-dirt-from-its-shoulder-brushing mud stomper with serious traction for those sneaky patches of black ice, but the deluxe smooth leather construction and full-length Max Air cushion make for a look that can compete with the recent best in performance and casual appeal. And just like recent All Conditions Gear standout the Lunar MacLeay, the Air Max Conquer seems to have nailed a go-to colorblocking formula that sees tonal shades paired as is the case with this Sable Green and Iguana edition. It’s a boot so well built, LeBron James collaborated with Nike Sportswear on his own pair; should we put you down for not one, but many pairs? Check out the Sable Green Air Max Conquer ACGs in greater detail after the jump and stick with Sneaker News for more rugged Nike Boots this winter. via mita sneakers

The Nike Shield collection of weatherproofed running shoes shares a look inspired by classic Swoosh sneaker boxes, but what happens when you swap the grey sections for an earthier shade on the most rugged Shield release yet? The answer is another solid colorway for the Nike Air Trail Ridge 2, this time in a range of brown tones but still with orange and white accents. These two pairs together offer a study in how different two shoes can look when they share so much neutral versatility in common; would you pick the grey pair or this Velvet Brown Air Trail Ridge 2? Additional images after the jump might aide in your decisionmaking process, and if you want a pair of these, they’re available now from Kicks-crew.

Right around the turn of the year and into spring of 2011, the Nike ACG Air Moc seemed poised to make a big splash in the lifestyle market. A number of interesting woven editions hit retail, but the Trash Talk-like ‘Scrap’ edition seems itself to have been tossed toward the refuse pile. So that leaves that version along with the Air Moc Vent out in the dark corners of the All Conditions Gear forest, and while we don’t know if we’ll ever see them again, it does indeed look like another version isn’t just another sasquatch. The Air Moc 1.5 ACG takes things a bit higher for this Far East favorite, three new colorways reminiscent of classic outdoor aesthetics, yet not exactly your typical ACG retro look. Click through and youc an see the whole trio individually, and stick with Sneaker News for word on their availability. via Kenlu

When a sneaker company reigns in a hot designer for an indefinite period of time, it’s always interesting to see that collaborator carve out their own niche within the greater image of the brand. We’ve seen guys like Jeremy Scott and Yohji Yamamoto do this over at adidas, and John Varvatos has definitely been on a similar path during his time with Converse. Often applying a distressed look to the All-Star brand classics, the JV collection has also upheld a standard of premium materials. This Spring 2012 release sees both those tactics yet again, with the Converse Pro Leather Mid getting a beautiful leather in opposing black and red colors, with a crinkled texture that shows off the top-notch construction. Get a full look at these pairs after the jump and be on the lookout for them come next year. via FreshNGood

We’ve seen some early looks at the ‘Year of the Dragon’ KD IV and the wild Nerf edition has certainly been making plenty of noise lately, but Kevin Durant, himself, recently hinted at another upcoming colorway of his fourth signature shoe that might just outdo them both. Here we get our first look at the ‘Weatherman’ KD IV, a nod to Kevin’s childhood aspirations of becoming a meteorologist. As you can see, the shoe features a colored graphic design inspired by the wavy color-coded weather patterns that you would see on the screen during your daily local weather report. No official word yet on a release for these, but hopefully, we can expect them to hit shelves some time in 2012. Check out the pics and let us know how they stack up against the Nerfs and YOTD’s based on this early look. via MoreUptempo on NT.

Having turned 21 this year, it’s safe to say that the Nike Air Max 90 has put on enough years to show off a bit more grown-up styling. Sure, this pair isn’t exactly formal-but the muted obsidian tones on the upper go hand in hand with the series of darker Air Max 90′s we’ve seen recently. This colorway isn’t all doom and gloom though, as the customary snow white look shows up on the midsole and laces, as well as on the lining, ‘Air Max’ branding, and the side swoosh. All in all another solid entry to the Air Max legacy that doesn’t scream for attention but still gets the job done. Be on the lookout for them at Euro retailers like Titolo.

We’ve already given you a look at a host of styles from Vans that break out tougher materials for the winter weather. There was the Vans Switchback CA Water Resistant and then the ’10oz Canvas Pack’ but this pair takes it a bit further. Presenting a thick 12oz canvas upper, these go the extra mile, along with the obviously higher silhouette that allows for more complete coverage. On the insides the shoe has a nice waxed leather, letting their beauty run more than just skin deep. Alright alright, before you Swoosh fiends get out your pitchforks let’s just calm down for a second and take a closer look at this adidas Originals Campus II. Sure, the ‘wheat’ look has been a popular choice out in Beaverton for the Fall/Holiday 2011 season, but that doesn’t give them exclusive rights to the tan tone does it? We saw the adidas Originals Hardland WNTR pick up a similar look a while back, so why not try it out on classic model like the Campus II? Standing in stark contrast to the colorful collection we saw last week, the tan/white look here keeps it nice and neutral. Get a full look at the adidas Originals Campus II in the wheat colorway after the jump and let us know who did it better. Also be on the lookout for these at fine footwear retailers like Concepts.

A sick colorway like this would start a riot. Wait…too soon? All jokes aside, the LeBron 9 hitting Nike iD was a long-overdue move by Nike Basketball (not to say it didn’t raise a few eyebrows), and since it first dropped in late October, we have a look at a nice themed colorway of the Nike LeBron 9 iD. Inspired by the Vancouver Canucks NHL hockey franchise, this LeBron 9 iD featured a White/Royal upper with green accents on the laces, outsole, and swoosh border, which does a great job at simulating the Canucks’ on-ice sweaters. Got any more team-inspired designs in mind? Check out the detailed angles of this LeBron 9 iD creation and let us know what ideas you have in your head. via LRJ23.

Sneaker News has been providing some in-depth previews of Nike Skateboarding release for Summer 2012, like the entire catalog previewed in early October as well as the Dunk Lows, Mids, and Highs that we have you an exclusive look one. Scattered among all those April/May/June drops is this new ‘Nori’ colorway of the SB Dunk Mid; this un-strapped Mid-cut Nike SB Dunk combines Nori green with a nice shade of blue on the upper, with a white/beige midsole/outsole combination. The upper is built with a combination of soft suede (a huge plus for Dunk fans) and full-grain leather. Again, expect these next Summer, so enjoy the close-up angles of this upcoming release and let us know what you think. via Dunkbar.

Go long! Well, not too long. According to Kevin Durant himself, the Nike Zoom KD IV ‘Nerf’ is scheduled for an official release on December 17th, 2011, one week before the Christmas Holiday weekend. The ‘Nerf’ colorway is undoubtedly the most colorful of the entire Zoom KD history, but is it the best KD of all time? It certainly has garnered the most attention thanks to the dope packaging, high-energy colorway, and general holy-crap-that’s-awesome concept. Sneaker News provided you detailed shots of the Zoom KD IV ‘Nerf’ not long ago, so be sure to take a look again if you need a thorough look, and let us know in the comments how badly you want these!
