Kick Draw Sneaker Art

Dave White has made an internationally recognized name with his sneaker art for his signature side-profile, paint-splattered imagery. Do we have another Dave White on our hands? Sneaker News just stumbled upon Kick Draw, a tumblr account featuring new drawings of some of the most historic sneakers of all time. The left-shoe profile shots are done in photo-realistic cartoon-ish styles, with solid-colored backgrounds providing a nice contrast. It appears that the author/illustrator updates with ‘trending’ sneakers, as he’s recently updated with the Jordan CP3.V (releasing next week), the Nike Zoom KD IV (released early December), and the adidas adiPower Howard (released November). Of course, he’s got a ton of other great stuff – Air Jordans, Air Yeezys, Reeboks, etc. – so take a look at some of the highlights below and check out Kick Draw now!

Nike Zoom Kobe VII Supreme Concord New Images

If you missed out on the Concord madness recently, it looks as if you’ve got another shot at the the prize. The only catch is, you’ve got to be a Kobe fan. We’ve seen the Kobe line adapt this powerful look before, and the new Zoom Kobe VII Supreme is getting ready for a timely drop with the ‘Concord’ combo as well. Coming with a considerable amount more of the namesake tone than the Jordan XI it’s based on, this colorway modernizes the look for a more functional basketball sneaker thanks to the high-tech System Supreme construction. Follow us after the jump for the full look at the Nike Zoom Kobe VII Supreme ‘Concord’ and grab them from Afew ahead of their US release date.

Air Jordan 1 Phat GS Black Violet Pop Cyber

There’s been quite a bit of activity on the Air Jordan 1 Phat front in recent weeks, including several new styles slated for 2012 and now this new edition that reprises a theme applied to one of 2011′s last. This new AJ1 Phat GS isn’t one of those drops you can say is more ‘grade school’ than ‘girls’ thanks to a super-feminine take on a LA Lakers-leaning palette, its detailing borrowed from a recent black/pink pair right down to the ‘For the Love of the Game’ heart-sketball emblem on the lateral heel. This one in Velvet Pop and Cyber with black nubuck on the toe and eyelets is coming up soon, so click on the jump and look at some additional images and stick with Sneaker News for word on the US release date. via soleroom

Nike Air Max+ 2012 February 2012 Colorways

The Nike Air Max+ 2012 has shown that it can utilize its layered Hyperfuse construction to achieve wild new color combos and gradients, and now let’s look into the future to see what’s in store in the way of more traditional colorways.  The Air Max 2012 will soon take over for its 2011 brethren, and for those shying away from the color created by laying translucent red and Volt on top of one another, these opaque designs could be just what you’re after.  Black/red/white and black/white colorups don’t bear as obvious a mark that they were cast in layers of cutting edge synthetic materials, but the white/royal/black pair has just a bit of light blue created in its vertices that you get a sense for what it might be capable of showing.  Click through to see all three pairs and stick with Sneaker News for updates in advance of their February 1st release date.  via Villa

New Balance Made in USA Spring 2012 Collection

Sneaker News showed you a glimpse at an upcoming New Balance M1300 earlier this month crafted in tonal navy suede and mesh.  They bear a new ‘NB Classic’ tag just like a couple other of the upcoming releases on the same tongue that also denotes their point of origin, and that’s something shared in common by a few other soon-to-shelves retro runners.  Also along for the ride in simple yet satisfying colorways is a brown NB998 and two pairs of the 991 model perhaps now most famous for being the favorite sneaker of late Apple head Steve Jobs.  Each one is impeccable in its simplicity and they’ll all be available within the first quarter of 2012.  via FNG

Complete Technique x Nike Zoom Force 1 American Eagle

Pharrell proved shortly after their debut that the Nike Zoom Force 1 snowboarding boot can make for an outrageous fashion choice, but even the Arbito-penned collabo version can’t hold a candle to this latest ‘pair’ in terms of sheer audacity.  Jewelry designer Osamu Koyama brought his Complete Technique label to work on this insane Zoom Force 1 ‘American Eagle’ project, a golden take on the anime ‘Saint Seiya’ whose look is finished nicely by a removable opal pendant and chain.  These weren’t exactly made for riding the slopes, but they probably would indeed shred your wallet; would you buy a solid gold snowboard boot if this ‘American Eagle’ Zoom Force 1 were made available to the public?  Let us know what you think of this sculpture and stick with Sneaker News for the latest sneaker-inspired art from around the world including updates on Shoeshine Project 2012.  via FRESHNESS

CONVERSE Jack Purcell Leather Ox – Year of the Dragon | Croc Skin

Unable to obtain actual dragon skin for this version of the Converse Jack Purcell Leather Ox, Converse went instead with a croc look to emulate the mythical creature inspiring this new release. Coming in a bit more subtle than than the their last Year of the Dragon drop we got a look at, this low lets the scaly texture do all the talking. With Chinese New Year coming up pretty soon here, be on the lookout for more sneakers coming with the Zodiac tie-in. Follow us after the jump for a few full views of the sneaker, which is already popping up at Asian Converse accounts. As always, stick with Sneaker News for info on whether or not these will find their way to American shores. via FRESHNESS
