While typically limited in nature, a well-done sneaker collaboration will yield these positive results; the consumer gets treated with an acutely re-energized classic shoe, the manufacturer earns some positive recognition for outside-the-box endeavors, and the other member of the collaborative partnership gets to show off a bit of personality. Extra Butter, the Long Island-based crew that has never shown any sort of hesitation in expressing their own unique drum beat, proves that creativity in a sneaker concept is as important as the sneaker model being featured, which is why it’s garnered so much internet-buzz in a short period of time. Just a few days ago, Extra Butter provided us with a teaser via a remake of a classic scene in Robin Hood: Men In Tights; great acting, production value, and attention to detail is what you’d expect from a perfect movie teaser, and Extra Butter certainly emulated that formulaic approach throughout the entire process. It certainly had the sneaker sub-culture buzzing about the Reebok Pump AXT (originally a training shoe meant for runners), a sneaker that admittedly has fallen on the wayside due to lack of exposure, and with the sick colorway inspired by Dave Chappelle’s ‘Ahchoo’ character, don’t be surprised if ‘Time To Get Pumped’ becomes a common theme in the sneaker game moving forward. definite yes on these. Nice to see collabs that are fun and still fresh. These and the Bodega Axt are both vicious.

Nice. As a massive Pump fan, im not big on the AXT… but i gotta say they did a solid job on these. Made em look hard… with a color that stands out, but is not girly. Colorway is so good it hides the ugliness of the model. Well done EB. I hope to add these to my collection.
