Freegums x Nike LeBron 9 – Private Event Recap
December 5th, 2011 by Aaron Hope | 10 comments

Imagine you had your hands on a raffle ticket entitling you to a super-deluxe special edition box carved to match the intricate sockliners on the Freegums x Nike LeBron 9, but had to take a BRB and missed your number being called, only to come back and see someone else leave with ‘your’ prize. That happened to some poor, unfortunate sneakerhead over the weekend in Miami, where Alvaro ‘Freegums’ Ilizarbe was on hand at Shoe Gallery to celebrate the drop of his first Nike collaboration. Soul-crushing timing fail notwithstanding, this was an event filled with smiling faces who’d come to see the wall of Freegums LeBron 9s and the similarly-styled wall upon which they were displayed, and you can see a video recap of the party by clicking on the jump below. via Stickie213

$170 is a "rape price". Hah-hah
LeBron > Kobrick the rapist
ugly ass shoes... best colorway is da cannons & chinas... anythin else is not da business
hot shoe, but half the people there didnt even look like sneaker heads. its also a shame to see a sneaks raffled off go up on ebay for crazy prices! this is the shoe game now! get the exclusives and throw them on ebay and charge rape prices. smh, the shoe game is nothing but resellers now. they raffled them off to industry insiders so they can charge rape prices, half those industry insiders already get kicks for free
You don't have to be a sneakerhead to like a cool-looking shoe
I agree
way better than Kobrick
nah i think these are better than the 'scarfaces' in my opinion they shouldnt even have released the scarfaces they should have jus released these and dropped a completely different home cw maybe a lil yellow to actually make it true to the heat colors but nah lebron cant do that for his fans only for himself
Releasing the scar faces and these make these less valuable in my opinion, I also think the scar faces looked better
The "Scarface" Lebron 9 is underrated. And I agree; they do look better. It's still interesting to see people get caught up into hype. Hah-hah.
