World-renown sneaker retailer Patta of Amsterdam has the alchemic touch when it comes to sneaker collaborations. Their personal take on the recently re-introduced Gel Saga should thrust it into the limelight and make it one of the hottest sneakers of 2012, but they chose the ‘Saga’ for the purpose of displaying a continuation from what they started with the Gel Lyte III. Using some key-note details like the Andreas crosses and some premium materials like rubberized leather, nubuck, and premium leather, the Patta x Asics Gel Saga is just another successful notch on Patta’s fattening belt due to a diet with healthy portions of sick sneakers. What US retailers are getting these?
None i would think. Dont think US stores stock Patta product. Just your usual euro hotspots, like the Hanon wildcats release. These are just ok imo, im sure the majority of "heads" will just grab these because of the Patta connection, and the word 'limited'. Would liked to have seen what dutch artist Parra could have done if he got his hands on this model.
Think parra woulda nailed it yeah!.. dudes from patta kinda messed this one up.. the tongue has the weapon of arms(or however you call that shit) of the city Breda(three X'es in a triangle formation).. instead of the one of Amsterdam (patta's hometown, which has 3 X'es in a vertical row) it will be bought for the Patta connection and "limited" but real real real heads who actually get the shoe 'reps' Amsterdam oughta understand that it in fact does not rep A'damn correctly :(
