Air Jordan IV 2012 Retro Packaging

The only thing close to the joy of learning that a bunch of OG Air Jordan III colorways would be releasing in 2011 was learning that the shoes would be coming back better than ever thanks to the return of the original elephant print shoe box. So naturally, knowing that there will be a string of OG Air Jordan IV releases coming in 2012, there has been much speculation over whether or not the classic “cement” speckled box would be coming along for the ride. Finally, we get a look at what we were all hoping for, and aside from the switch from “Nike Air” to “Jumpman Air” branding that we saw with the III’s, things are looking to be on point. Now we can shift our attentions and imaginations back to what colorways may be coming inside these cardboard delights during the next year. We know that the White/Cement and Military Blues are on the way and can only assume that the Bred version will follow the lead of the Black/Cement Jordan III and drop next Black Friday, but we can only wonder what Jordan Brand will have up their sleeves for new color schemes for the beloved silhouette. via Air Randy

they will have dis new box... same thing wit all da 3s dat dropped dis past yr.. put them in da old school bow... so im pretty sure they will do dat wit all da 4s droppin in 2012..
nice box....but for $160 they gotta do more than that. It's not like they improved the materials from the original or retro. We're getting raped by JB.....again. But damn...they do look good.
For $160 i would have prefered jb give $10 dollars worth of better material instead of a nice box.....How about some real leather for once. I got to rock my mars 2x before they creased like recycled toilette paper held together with elmers glue. My doernbeckers were a little better but pics of the cement look like shitty stiff pleather again....WTF Jordan?????

This is great man. I'm laughing at all those people who copped early release pairs of white cements with unlabeled black/silver boxes right now.
The Cement box is sweet, but that probably wasn't a great move by Jordan Brand. The box will only serve as a sad reminder that the shoes are 'Tech Grey' and NOT the beautiful Cement, like the OG and the first (and only true) Retro.
There u go complaInIng and If your smart u realIze that cement grey can be dark as well. Check out the aIr jordan fusIon 4 or the dub zero cements and tell me that doesnt look lIke tech grey
I really don't care about fusions or dub zeros. The fact is, the grey on the box is way lighter than the grey on the new retros. That's a pretty simple complaint and a fair one, considering the new retro kicks are not a true Cement. If they were, Nike wouldn't be calling it Tech Grey. So once again, the box and the shoe don't match.
With the Cements and Millitary Blues on lock and assuming this is an accurate prediction about the Bred IV's next November (which I'd put money on based on this years OG III schedule), I'd love to see a Fire Red III/Mars IV pack in 2012.

agree but damn....so many memories flooding back LOVE that box cant wait to get whats inside too
Yea love the box too but I bet its gonna be as flimsy as the boxes they put out this year for the 3s
