The adidas SLVR collection has been offering its special brand of avant garde footwear for two years now, this toddler of the Three Stripes family offering designs somewhere between the classic heritage models and Yohji Yamamoto’s collaborations, but at a fraction of the price of Y-3 releases. The adidas SLVR Buckle Run one of the craziest low profile designs out there with a construction we’d call half-Air Sock/half-Huarache if Nike Sportswear mashed them together. But coming from adidas, and with the SLVR capsule’s typical super-sleekness, these have a fresh feel that’s just as far ahead of the curve as the white colorway with its berry, lime and grape accents.
