There’s nothing like a quick material update to breathe some new life into a sneaker while maintaining what made it a hit in the first place. We’ve seen Vans do this again and again, switching out the typical canvas looks most often associated with their bare-bones skate offerings with suede, wool, and a host of other materials. This time around it’s a nice cotton twill for the Vans California Style 31, but the touch ups actually extend a bit further with the gum bumper on the front end and the metal eyelets. Follow us in after the jump for a full look at the trio and let us know if you will be picking up any of the Vans California Style 31’s from the upcoming ‘Twill Pack’, which should be in stores January 2012. via FreshnGood
