New Jordan Brand Packaging For 2012

You might’ve spotted the new Jordan Brand box-tags when we gave you another at the Air Jordan IV White/Cement last week, but during a special Nike/Jordan footwear event in China, a look at the new packaging was presented during the media presentation. Gone is the Black/Grey box (one that’s been with us since 2006) and arriving in 2012 is a new era of how to store your kicks neatly in your closet; it has a tonal black outer facade with an oversized Jumpman logo on the upper face. The box-tags will also be different as well, with three different colors denoting Training (Blue), Lifestyle (Red), and Basketball (Red) performance. As long as the quality of the sneaker is great, I could care less if the sneakers came in a styrofoam box with a 2-year-olf drawn on jump man logo.
It's a fucking box...if you guys really care about a box so much then you probably don't even deserve quality shoes if all you trip about is a box...Get over it...
dont give a shit about a fukin box cuz i can't wear em on my feet. jb should spend more time addressing shoe quality issues. freal i would rather pay 250-300 dollars for a quality pair of retros. imo quality>quantity.
That joint ugly...if they would of made the boxes like the 3s box ok...but this joint is the worst smh
a new box has been long over due but my favorite box will always be the one with his face on it. all the shoes from my childhood had that box
I agree with someone above, I was so mad when I bought a pair of Flint 13s and came to find out the quality is lighter and the shoe is fake. It's such a disappointment as I paid retail off eBay from a seller. It's been too long now obviously but still. Honestly, this is getting nicer, just they only think people really use these for basketball. Their a style icon as well you know guys...
The box looks great, but i care more about the quality of the shoes themselves to match the price tag.
Two those that gave me negatives when I said that jordan needed to change their box period I dedicate this post to you. The bandwagon is full but u can try and run behind it.

I was just thinking about where I was going to stack all my boxes from next years releases. I guess its time to start a new stack with the new boxes.
The second picture shows the black and gray box wit a red label but the first pic says no gray box?? Box doesnt really matter to me Im fine wit the black and gray boxes
I like it. Looks like the new box is going to be a pull off top like the ones OG 3s & 4s came in. But why 3 different colored labels ???? Signify an LS, GS or QS maybe ? Ehh I got tired of the black/silver boxes. They're weak aesthetically and physically.
i like it... nice change of pace... especially since da old box been around dam near 10 yrs or so now
so i guess the majority of us will be getting a red tag because thats what it looks like the retros will have.
DOES THIS REALLY MATTER. AND WILL THE PRICES ON A PAIR SHOES GO UP BECAUSE OF NEW PACKING?
about time they tried something new. My fav is the ones that had his face on the top. Those were dope. Late 90's/early 2000's I think?
This is kinda relevant, my brother in law works for a packaging design company that Jordan brand hired to make packaging for gift cards, Jordan gave them guidelines for what they wanted in the final product, and in those guidelines it said they couldn't use anything with Nike or Nike swoosh on the packaging because Jordan brand likes to be "it's own company" even though they rely on Nike for technology to help them sell shoes
even though nike relyed on jordan to bring them to were they are now.....credit goes to were it due....
jordan relied on tinker to get were they are today nike has been around since the the mid 60's jordan brand has been around since the mid 90's without nike and tinker jordans wouldn't happen
If I am not mistaken Nike was almost out of the business by the time the Jordan 1 came about. MJ popularity created a need for the brand which created a interest for other athletes to pair up with the brand and as they won so did Nike. Regardless of how the shoe looked if MJ and others didn't win who would have cared? I bet nobody would care who designed the shoe if it was on Clyde Drexler or Sam Bowie. Exactly.
They should really start printing QR codes on the tag, and/or using a method to determine whats legit and whats an illegal replica, like a water mark
that should be priority number 1 with Jordan Brand because these replica factories are catching up fast.
priority number 1 is making better shoes replica factories are only catching up cause jb does a bad job making retros in the first place QUALITY IS ALWAYS PRIORITY #1 look at new balance. boring box no hype good quality
