Nike Air Force 1 Bespoke 2012 Special Production
December 21st, 2011 by Aaron Hope | 6 comments

The most recent Nike Air Force 1 Bespoke we profiled here on Sneaker News featured the same kind of metallic/iridescent black patent leather we’ve seen on a couple of other recent pairs. It’s the kind of exclusive material that gives off a luxury vibe, but you could argue that those have nothing on these new pairs when it comes to reflecting abundance. The Air Force 1 Bespoke in Vachetta leather will be a special release exclusive to Nike Sportswear’s 21 Mercer flagship store in New York featuring deconstructed ‘no-liner’ builds, leather laces and midsoles and two rather fetching shades of brown and tan. Will these be the only two colors available from a service typically known for its expansive range of options? Vachetta is generally ‘untreated’, so it’s likely the answer leans toward yes, but there’s at least one ‘extra’ brown shade for the midsoles, and maybe we’ll even start seeing these with little bits of cork or digi-camo mixed in? Click through for a look at these ultra-premium AF1 Lows and let us know if these’ll have you setting up an appointment for the Nike Air Force 1 Bespoke experience. via NIKEiD

Im loving the black pair. Hints of tan really brings it out and gives it an unusual look.
Both of them are great, but that tan pair is drop dead gorgeous.
THESE ARE RIDICULOUS!!! THAT LEATHER OH YES! That tan pair might jus be my new favorite air force 1. The black pair not so much easssy pass.
Trust they are worth it. They are amazing in person and pics could never do them justice. The light tan color is the only material that is "vachetta" I believe. And there are more color options available than these and more than just 1 other brown shade. As of now you will not see cork or any other regular bespoke material mixed in as they want to keep them separate. And it's not really a special release at Mercer, but is just another great option they had made available for the bespoke program.
That material looks insane and super plush. I've been wanting to make a bespoke for a little while now, and this new addition might be what pushes me to go ahead and get a customized air force 1 bespoke next year. It would be dope if there were a few more options, but I'll stay happy knowing I can at least use these colors shown in the article.....I'll post pics once I get em. sALuTe
these might be worth it for maybe $300. If I'm not mistaken, that Vachetta leather is the same or very similiar to the Louis Vuitton leather used on their straps and etc. Thus over time, the leather will age (gain a patina). I'd love to own a pair just to wear and see how they turn out after a year or so..
