Tinker Hatfield At Nike Portland For Concord 11 Release Event

Earlier today, Sneaker News detailed some of the release madness that surrounded the midnight drops of the Air Jordan XI ‘Concord’. We know one spot did it right – the recently opened Nike Portland. Wristbands were given out the day prior and a special event at 7 AM was held for those who purchased the shoes; Air Jordan XIs were on display (OG and Retro Concords, Retro+ colorways like the ‘Snakeskin’) as was a rare sketch drawing of the Air Jordan XI. Tinker Hatfield, the designer of the massive cultural fashion phenomenon, was on hand to autograph Concord XI boxes for the event’s attendees. We’ve got some shots from the event from oregonlive and nikeblog so take a look at this great even and if you haven’t copped your Concords yet, pick up a pair now on eBay.
Laugh at me, but I personally think they are ugly. They look like a crappy Buick from the late 1990's, although, this is my taste, I am a fan of futuristic and complicated shoes. I cannot stand these.....I do not know why people get mugged for these and why so many people want them because if you buy them to wear them, you would probably not get as many complements wearing them as you would when you were wearing a Nike flightposite shoe. I guess it was worth it though, because the resale prices are in the 400's.
If anyone needs a size 13 or 14 let me know, wouldnt mind parting with a pair for the right price... I wouldnt usually support reselling but after running around like a headless goose I wouldnt mind some cash for my other addiction

It's a shame that such a beautiful shoe had to be hyped out the ass. Now I got all these resellers saying I'm broke cause I won't buy for $325-400. Smh it's not a matter of money, it's a matter of buying a hyped shoe for ridiculous prices. I usually won't knock somebody's hustle(if reselling is their hustle) but damn their really fucking shit up right now. And then you got these other teens buying them cause they think their gonna get hoes, they following others and the hype, or they think they'll be the freshest person on this damn Earth. "i was the only white kid at the release and i thought i was going to get mugged" ^ Typical Portlander, racist and scared of non-Caucasians. I'm white and was in the line three hours yesterday and three today. People were pissed off and it was totally disorganized but no one scrapped while I was there. Everybody was pretty chill. I got my size and got the box signed by Tinker.
Thats so cool, I wish I got a signed pair of concords by Tinker. I think it would be cooler than a jordan signature to be honest. I waited for 6 hours and didnt get them hella mad about it but whatever, save some money for those Lebron 'Chistmas' 9s I guess! haha
