Starting with a few pairs of horsehair-accented Air Max 1s last year, Nike Sportswear began a microtrend toward applying spongy silicon crepe soles to some of its standby silhouettes. There are still a couple of Air Royals on the way with this decidedly boot-like bottom, but suprisingly few of the Swoosh’s competitors have chosen to emulate what’s gotta be something of an inevitable source of inspiration, given how many boot design cues are being borrowed these days. So the Reebok Classic Crepe Pack instantly earns a bit of extra oomph thanks to this relative vacuum, these three new two-toned suede colorways taking the blocking in a different direction than the initially previewed pairs.
