Nike Air Force 1 Low The Gift

Over the holiday weekend, Nike Sportswear teased some images of a shoe initially dubbed only as “The Gift.” The first teaser shot didn’t reveal too much, although the view of the heel tab presented the strong possibility of an Air Force 1. The second teaser image posted last night confirmed suspicions by giving us a better look at the shoe – a luxurious Air Force 1 Low decked out in premium materials with a wrapped present embroidered into the heels. While release info on “The Gift” has not yet been revealed, some answers should be on the way later this week. Check out the teaser shots below and stay tuned to Sneaker News and @21_Mercer for further details on this intriguing holiday-themed release in the days ahead.

Air Jordan XI Low Concord + Bred Six Rings Edition

The Air Jordan XI ‘Concord’ was the unrivaled juggernaut drop of the 2011 holiday sneaker rush, and while most sneakerheads were focused on the release a few days back, this week also a brought a look at two low-cut versions of the popular model that stirred up some buzz of their own. One of the XI Lows that was previewed featured a traditional ‘Concord‘ color scheme, while the other also stuck to a tried and true formula with a tasty ‘Bred‘ version. Not much was known about the potential future of the samples, but now a little more light has been shed, along with this look at some interesting special edition versions of the shoes.

NikeTalk member, NikeDealer was lucky enough to be on the scene when two mysterious Jordan boxes showed up to the house of well-known celebrity sneakerhead, Chi McBride. The contents of the standard issue JB boxes were anything but standard, as a look inside revealed two pairs of the upcoming 2012 Lows, specially customized by the package’s senders, Tinker Hatfield and Mark Smith. Both pairs feature gold laminate graphics on the tongues displaying each of Michael Jordan’s six championship rings, along with some Bin23-ish wooden inserts inside the shoes. The six rings detailing will not appear when these go to retail, but you can probably expect to see the leather uppers replacing the usual XI mesh and the red lining instead of black on the Bred pair. No word yet on when in 2012 these will drop, but for now, take a look at Chi’s special editions and let us know what you think.

Nike Zoom Kobe VII Great White Shark

Yesterday’s video featuring Kobe Bryant and Eric Avar discussing the Kobe VII shed plenty of light on the design of the shoe. Using the ‘Predator’ as the heart and soul behind the concept, the Black Mamba, Leopard, and Great White Shark – alpha predators in their respective ecosystems – played major roles in creating the shoe. Arriving in March is the Nike Zoom Kobe VII ‘Great White Shark’, which features a deep-blue ocean graphic on the skin and the shark logo on the heel; the graphic print is just one of the many funky designs you can expect to see on the Kobe VII, like the colorful leopard-print on the ‘Christmas’, and the Poison Dart Frog that we gave you quick glimpse at yesterday. More shots of the ‘Great White Shark’ are below, so take a look and let us know what you think. via solefinder.

Nike Air Max 90 Soar

The Nike Air Max 90 spent quite a bit of its 21st birthday covered in Hyperfuse or constructed by vacuums technology, so it’s nice to see a range of new pairs for the spring with a slightly more familiar feel. At least three new Air Max 90s are coming down the pike with classic OG ‘Infrared’ colorblocking and materials, but we won’t set a cap quite yet considering the appearance of a new Air Max 1 yesterday that furthered one of the core Q1 themes for that model. So for now, we know it’s this classic mix of white mesh, grey suede and a black leather mudguard along with yellow and lime-accented pairs, along with this edition in Soar blue that soar-ta looks like like the other beloved original AM90, the ‘Laser Blue’. Click through and you’ll see more angles; how do these stack up against the most famous colorups in this legendary silhouette’s history? via Kicks-crew

Ryan McGinness x Reebok RMCQ Art Shoe Affili Art Collection

The gaudy metallic look on these may have you pinning them as another piece from the Basquiat x Reebok collection, but the collabo here actually comes from New York artist Ryan McGinness. This latest in the Affili Art line keeps up the wild looks, with the uppers dipped in a shiny silver/gold sheen that betrays the deepest of the artistic touches in the default position. Only with the rolled down look does the attention to detail really come out, with McGinness’ wild pastel patterns plastered all over the insides of the sneakers. Follow us after the jump to get a full look at this crazy Reebok release, and be on the lookout for them from Affili Art collection retailers. via FRESHNESSMAG

Nike Free TR2

The Nike Free TR2 popped up out of nowhere as part of the Nike Training Sheild Collection, then again struck without warning in the form of a CR7 colorup for Cristiano Ronaldo.  You can think of those big drops as something like the New York and Los Angeles premiers for a big movie that will open shortly after the turn of the year.  That’s when we should expect to get more new Free TR2 colorways like this understated grey edition that gets a little extra juice from the red ridges on its grooved soles.  Lightweight mesh and a super-flexible sole is about as close as you can get to training barefoot, and you’ll be able to see more images of these after the jump as we await the early 2012 release date.  via Sneaker Freaker

Gourmet Deici Holiday 2011 Colorways

Upon our most recent look at the Quattro S, we noted how Gourmet had shifted its design from the original Air Jordan XII-copying form to a more distinct skate shoe with just a hint of AJ DNA.  The same is true of the Gourmet Deici, one of the brand’s other original models that itself was designed after the AJ13.  They don’t feature the Thirteen’s signature ‘golf ball’ dimples or any of the ballistic nylon that was so popular on that model, these two bold leather colorways moving further away from the Air Jordan Legacy and further toward upscale casual with a wink and nod toward the foundation of modern footwear.  Click through to see both colorways and get yours straight from Gourmet.  via FNG

Nike WMNS Air Force 1 Low White Siren Red

Nike has been tuning up the WMNS releases lately with a bit of graphic flair. First it was the metallic spiral print that showed up on both Dunks and Air Force 1′s alike, and now the Uptowns are again getting some special treatment. Here the back end features a section that comes off looking like floral camo, with a wavy grid in the namesake ‘siren red’ laying over the top. That burning shade shows up again on the outsole and the ‘Nike Air’ branding throughout, giving this sneaker quite a bit of pop. Hit the jump for the full look at cop this women’s release now at Finishline.
