Nike Air Approach Mid Khaki Orange Ember

Nike All Conditions Gear is known for offering wild colorways on a range of rugged silhouettes that currently includes an unprecedentedly excellent range of boots. Hybrid mania has yet to hit the ACG design crew in full force, but one of their more notable mashups is back with a new rendition just in time for the snow season. The Nike Air Approach Mid brings together Air Magma and Air Lava design elements under one roof, this new leather and weather-repellent nylon design energetic yet understated in a mix of tonal beige plus orange atop a white/black sole setup. Click through so you can see more angles on these and expect them at US Nike Sportswear retailers soon, as they’ve just arrived in Japan at mita sneakers.

Jeremy Scott x adidas Originals JS Combat Boot

‘Crazy’ is one word that comes up quite often when discussing Jeremy Scott’s adidas Originals by Originals collaborations, but here’s one that goes so far as to affirm this status with a look that might have been inspired by a straight jacket.  The Jeremy Scott x adidas Originals JS Combat Boot is fairly outrageous in the sheer scope of its black leather construction, but not only does this bruiser land halfway up your calves, but it’s also secured with a melange of leather straps held together by buckles and padlocked for good measure.  A couple degrees away from the mainstream, you’ll be able to break knecks in the JS Combat Boot when they hit select Three Stripes retailers soon; are these the craziest boot design in all of 2011?  via SM

Nike WMNS Air Force 1 Low Light Metallic Platinum

The Nike Air Force 1 celebrates 30 years at or near the top of the sneaker game in 2012, and next year also marks the debut of another new ladies-only AF1 variant.  Coming in at the opposite end of the spectrum from the Air Feather is the new Nike WMNS Air Force 1 Low Light, a slimmed-down take on the classic Uptown silhouette comprised of a ‘no liner’-style upper paired with an uncharacteristically slim sole.  The effect is something like the opposite of the Dunk Force 1 SB mashups we’ve seen in recent years, this grey suede edition perhaps the most fitting colorway to define this model’s historical context.  Click through to see more details including how the upper shimmers under the right lighting/angle and grab a pair now from a Nike Sportswear retailer like Oneness.

New Balance 1500 Spring 2012 Colorways

Nice Kicks switched things up a bit in going for perforated suede toeboxes on their New Balance 1500 collaboration, but the change looks to have been temporary judging by these upcoming releases for spring 2012. NB went back to that classic mix of suede and mesh for their latest duo of 1500s, each a success thanks to slightly different applications of the untouchable white/grey/black trio. One pair hints at a ‘Tiffany’ vibe with its mint green accents while another heads toward an interesting territory with dark blue and lemon yellow hits resulting in a somewhat more jarring look. Check out both pairs after the jump and pre-order yours before the February shipdate from End.

Sneaker News Weekly Rewind: 12/24 12/30

Sneaker News is closing out 2011 in unmatched style, providing you with some great features that you will only find here. Sneaker News unveiled the preeminent year-end sneaker-list of the year – the Top 30 Sneaker of 2011 – while allowing the readers to lend their voices with the Readers’ Choice 2011 Poll. Moving on to daily news, Jordan made the most noise when news of his engagement from over the Christmas weekend made waves. The ‘Watch The Throne’ edition of the Nike LeBron 9 was finally previewed in detail this week, with a special look at the gold jewel piece that was designed by Gabriel Urist. The Kobe VI and KD IV Year of the Dragon both got some nice previews as well, with dragon detailing predominantly focusing on the heels. This week was also the debut of NBA Feet for the 2011-12 Season, as we started things off on Christmas Day.

The Nike Air Yeezy made headlines once again, but not for what you think; Kanye West, in one of his rare tweets, hinted at a Air Yeezy 3 release. Nike SB closed out 2011 with a preview of a re-hashed classic colorway – the Black/Loden SB Dunk Low. 21 Mercer celebrated the holiday by giving away limited pairs of ‘The Gift’ – a special Bespoke given out to lucky winners via a Twitter Giveaway. The Nike Air Force 1 Light also debuted, featuring a slimmed-down midsole and lining made just for the female sneakerheads. In collaborations, hip-hop producer Just Blaze will team up with Supra for a Skytop II and nonnative has its way with a New Balance CM997. Celebrity Feet was about quality and not quantity, as Jay-Z was spotted sitting courtside wearing the Air  Yeezy 2. This is one great way to close out one of the biggest years in sneakers, so check out all of Sneaker News Weekly Rewind below!

Air Jordan XII Jason Kidd New Jersey Nets PE

Jason Kidd made some interesting news at the start of the 2011-12 NBA Season when he was spotted wearing Nike Basketball sneakers during the Mavericks’ opening games. Kidd spent his recent years represented Chinese footwear brand Peak, but it appears that Nike has decided to bring Kidd back on the boat after he played an integral role in Dallas’ Championship run last season. When Kidd was at the prime of his career, he was in fact a Nike and a Jordan Brand athlete, wearing Air Jordan Retro Player Exclusives during his tenure with the Jumpman. One of those gems would be these beauties here – the Air Jordan XII in a White/Navy Blue colorway with Kidd’s name and jersey digits stitched on the heels of the shoe. You can see Kidd now wearing some Nikes, like the Uptempo V and Zoom Brave series, but wouldn’t it be sick if he pulled out his AJ Retro PEs? Check out the detailed shots below and let us know what you think of this PE. via Kenlu

Nike Zoom Kobe Venomenon II

Debuting last year as a fresh new tangent from the Nike Zoom Kobe signature line was the Nike Zoom Kobe Venomenon that released alongside the ‘big brother’ Kobe VI. Here we have a look at the second installment of the Venomenon series in three colorways; the Venomenon II features a similar low-cut design (rather similar to the Zoom Kobe V) with a faux-snakeskin print on the upper of the Black/Del Sol colorway. The other two White/Royal and ‘Duke’ version feature smooth flat synthetic leather. Expect these to hit Asian retailers in the Spring 2012 cycle alongside the Zoom Kobe Dream Season IV, so check out the three colorways of the all-new Zoom Kobe Venomenon II and let us know what you think. via soleroom.

Nike LeBron 9 Freegums Release Reminder

In 2010, Nike basketball got in touch with Miami based artist Alvaro ‘Freegums’ Ilazarbe for a special collaborative project that only a select few could accomplish. Nike’s desire for a home-grown perspective on a black and red lebron colorway was easily fulfilled by Freegums, who prizes black and white motifs and intricate brush strokes and utilizes those points of view in his work. Together, Nike and Freegums finished off this sick Nike lebron 9 colorway, infusing both the art culture of Miami while celebrating LeBron James’ birthday (been a while since we got a ‘Birthday’ release), and tomorrow will be your chance to cop one of the most understated lebron releases in years. Expect these at select Nike basketball retailers tomorrow, or pick up a pair now from ivehademall on eBay.
