If Nike really wanted to make a splash with the Nike Zoom Kobe VII ‘Great White Shark’ they would have waited till summer rolled around and dropped them in the heart of Shark Week, but we’ll take the February release. Kobe’s line has to play catch-up a bit based on the sheer number of colorways coming from the LeBron and KD lines, and this predator of a shoe might be the right one to sneak up on the competition. The watery look for the upper is of course bolstered by the logo hit on the back, tying this in with other releases like the Cheetah and Wolf. Kobes looke nice especially for a contemporary basketball shoe. The only thing that bothers me is they release way too many colorways making models forgettable over the years. Plus side, is they are affordable and perform just as good as their nike brethren. My favs are still the IV.
