Vans Van Doren Collection

It’s a typo in 2012 (and has been for quite some time), but back when Off the Wall got its start in 1977, the shoes really were Van’s, as in Paul Van Doren’s. The founder of what has become in its four-plus decades the world’s leading retailer of skateboarding shoes will be honored during the latter part of this year with a set of eight classic models bearing the kind of uinque style that’s made this brand an American icon. There are two pairs of Vans Sk8-His, three Eras a trio of Slip-Ons on tap for fall/winter with colorful suedes and bold vintage patterned canvas, and every pair features a ‘Van Doren’ heel emblem that has the look of Vans Vault top-tier releases. The quality is apparent in these images you’ll see after the jump too, but we’ll stop short of locking them up into the Vault category until further confirmation. For now, click through to see the entire set, and be sure to check back with Sneaker News for the US release dates. via HS
