For so many years, the immortal plimsoll has been at the heart of Vans’ footwear lineup, with models like the Authentic and Era producing a huge family of offspring both from within Off the Wall and every other brand who wants a piece of that iconic California cool. The Vans Statge 4 flips the script on the classic formula, and proves by extending the toe wrap to include the percentage of the shoe that’d normally be reserved for the rear, that the key to this style all along has been the two-piece construction. This modern spin on a timeless design is available in both mid and low cut silhouettes, the former in grey/gum or black courtesy of Gilbert Crockett and Chris Pfanner, respectively, and the lows done up by Andrew Allen (navy) and Chima Furgeson (burgundy).
