When the Nike LeBron 9 ‘Watch the Throne’ popped up it was a case of the age-old “life imitating art” thing, with the painstaking detail of the sneaker mimicking the cover art to Jay-Z and Kanye West’s collabo album of the same name. Looks like things have come full circle now, with art imitating life this time around, as a fellow by the name of VanShun has put together this killer display piece in tribute to that most-unattainable of Nike LeBron 9 colorways. Stripping the sneaker of the glittery gold context, this planar sculpture maintains the flossy feeling thanks to the geometric jewel and chain designs that wrap around the centerpiece sneaker.
