When the Nike LeBron 9 ‘Watch the Throne’ popped up it was a case of the age-old “life imitating art” thing, with the painstaking detail of the sneaker mimicking the cover art to Jay-Z and Kanye West’s collabo album of the same name. Looks like things have come full circle now, with art imitating life this time around, as a fellow by the name of VanShun has put together this killer display piece in tribute to that most-unattainable of Nike LeBron 9 colorways. Stripping the sneaker of the glittery gold context, this planar sculpture maintains the flossy feeling thanks to the geometric jewel and chain designs that wrap around the centerpiece sneaker. Follow us after the jump for some extra shots of the Nike LeBron 9 “Watch The Throne” sculpture, which is on display now at its fitting home of Shoe Gallery out in Miami.
