It was late 2010 when venerable skateboarding magazine Thrasher debuted its own skate sneaker, a model that could be seen to borrow heavily from the Vans Half Cab. Then last spring, a new collaboration with mita sneakers and CLUCT produced a model that’s pretty much a Chukka Boot with ‘Thrasher’ on the heels instead of ‘Vans’. So while it’s not a given that the pillars of skate publishing will team up with the footwear brands they helped to advertise, there are still a couple other notable names left out there that could find a new partner. The Skateboarder Magazine x Vans Old Skool/Mid Skool pack picks the perfect model to reflect the long running mag’s heritage, and will release in canvas high and lowtop colorways along with a run of dual-branded clothing and gear later this year. Have a look at the preview from Bread & Butter Berlin and stick with Sneaker News for the release date. via Complex.
