Whilst fighting an illness and without the help of superstar teammate Dwyane Wade, LeBron James led the Miami Heat to victory over the Los Angeles Lakers during last night’s showdown – and did so in convincing fashion. His superstar skills, as he displays on the nightly basis, were honed when he was part of the Amateur Athletic Union squad known as the Summit Lake Hornets; this upcoming colorway of the Nike LeBron 9 pays tribute to the short tenure that would later contribute to what will undoubtedly be one of the lasting legacies of NBA history, as the Purple and Teal match the Hornets team uniforms in such a perfect way that LeBron might be destined to play for the New Orleans Hornets sometime in the future (maybe when he’s 43 and just getting out of his prime).
