Just as folks commonly misuse the term ‘modern art’ to describe contemporary abstract works, the masterpiece pictured above comes with a title that’d lead you to believe it was just freshly pressed. But the Nike Air Current was in fact perfected all the way back in 1989, it’s rear- and lowermost triangular cutout a clear sign of things to come from the Air Max 90. And while we’ve seen those two models mashed together (and even with a little Air Huarache sprinkled on top), this first retro run for the Air Current comes with the kind of anticipation that led to the instant sellout of two Air Flow TZ releases last summer; which pairs of Air Currents will you pick this year? via The Toe Box

Flows and now Currents. I really hope Nike keeps digging into the back catalogue. Some seriously hot kicks from the 80's and early 90's which a lot of the younger sneakerheads wouldn't even know about.
