Nike LeBron 8 V/2 ‘Flamingo’ Mid Sample

Is Jason Petrie beginning a slow and steady purge of the famed Nike HQ sample closet? Recently, he gave us a look at a sample colorway of the Nike Air Max LeBron VII designed after LeBron’s Fortune magazine cover, but here we have a look that we might be able to relate to a bit more since a shoe similar to this did in fact release; that’s right folks – it’s a mid-cut LeBron 8 V/2 Flamingo/Miami Nights sample. The original shoe, of course, was a low-cut version (that made the Sneaker News Top 30 of 2011), but at some point, a mid-cut version was either proposed or experimented with. So, a few questions rise: Are these better than the low, and can we expect Petrie to unveil a ‘South Beach’LeBron 8 V/2 Low? Check out the gallery of images of this sick sample below and let us know what you think.

Much Better than the lows...
Fucking DOPE!!
...that AIR-BUBBLE sets it off...hot.
Tight.
much better.
Maybe someday when they start retroing Lebrons they will drop some of these sample colorways. I'll keep my fingers crossed.
these are freaky sick! im mad i missed out on all the 8's i really liked the summit lake hornets c/w also
Wow!! The uppers are amazing! The Flywire looks nice not as bright as the Miami nights but the red sole is a flawless red Lion in the tounge is nice too CINCINNATI need to some exclusives like these or in the near future!! Thanks,,Sneakerhead
Definitely better than a low, I fucks with it.
a south beach low, wow, come to think of it, im actually suprised no one has done a custom
it would probably be really hard to make the air bubble look like the south beach one without making it look super cheap
hopefully the lebron 10s will have these and the red carpets as for design
All Lebron 8 v/2 lows should have been made hightops
hot damn!
fyeeee
SO much doper as a mid, but its too dark to be the actual flamingo, id like to see the completed one
The one released is better I think. The CWs are lighter and reflect more of Miami's local culture.
your obviously not from miami
looks nice. imo i kind of like the mids better than the lows
