Today marks the official start of the nationally recognized Black History Month, and Nike Sportswear looks to do its part in celebration by releasing a commemorative capsule of footwear and apparel fitting of the occasion. Featured in 2012’s Black History Month Collection is the annual staple of the Nike Air Force 1 alongside the Air Max 1, Blazer High, and Huarache Free 2012; each is encapsulated with a Brown/Black colorway with detailing inspired by traditional African weaves and textiles, exemplified by the ‘Uplift’ slogan. Included in the apparel is a t-shirt, cap, a Nike Destroyer Jacket, and a hooded Destroyer Jacket for women.
